Day 1Arrival Cairo International Airport

ِAt your first day in Egypt, GAT Tours’ representative will be waiting for you upon your at Cairo International Airport. He will handle everything for you and take you to your hotel in Cairo. 

You will check in the hotel and get to your new room to get some rest after today’s flight. (No Meals)

Day 2Pyramids Of Giza & Sphinx, The Tombs of Workers “lost City”, View Wall of the Crow

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in the early morning then get ready to Join your Egyptologist Tour Guide in today’s adventure to visit Giza Plateau. 

You will explore first the world famous Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos & Sphinx – Entry to the Great Pyramid Of Cheops – Chance to enjoy taking many photos at the pyramids area with a panoramic view of the three Pyramids together . 

Later you will proceed to visit the Tombs of workers “El Gabel El Qebly” which is known nowadays by the “Lost City” this ancient site is an ancient urban site about 400 meters (1312 feet) south of the Sphinx. 

Then you will see the Wall of the Crow which is a massive, ancient stone wall that stands a few hundreds yards south of the Sphinx. But because it lay partially buried and overshadowed by the larger, more famous Great Pyramid, Sphinx, and other pyramids, tourists have hardly noticed it and Known locally as the Wall of the Crow (Heit el-Ghurab) it is 200 meters long and 10 meters high & dated to the Old Kingdom 4th Dynasty (2575-2465 BC), like the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx 

After this amazing day, you will stop for Lunch at one of the best Local restaurants in Cairo.

Now you will be heading back to your Hotel to get some rest at your own room

Day 3Saqqara Pyramids, Ancient Tomb Of Mereruka and Ti, Pyramid Of King Titi, The Serapeum, Imhotep Museum, Ancient Tombs of the New Kingdom, Possibility to explore Unas Pyramids, Stop by Village in Saqqara

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in the early morning then let’s start today’s tour to Saqqara city. 

You will start with the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the first pyramids ever built in the world, and you will have to pass by the Pyramid Of King Titi where you can see the exclusive pyramids texts inside the Pyramid 

You will see also very nice Tombs related back to the Old Kingdom, You will enter tomb of Ti and Mereruka 

You will also see Imhotep Museum founded in 2006, which is designed to house artifacts from local excavations

Day 4Pyramids Of Dahsure “The bent and The Red Pyramids”, Ancient City Of Memphis

Get your breakfast in the morning at the hotel then join your Egyptologist Tour Guide to explore the Pyramids Of Dahshur. 

This interesting tour includes the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, those two pyramids were built for the pharaoh Snefru, father of Cheops for whom the Great Pyramid of Giza was built.

The Bent Pyramid is unique for two reasons, the first is the angel change through its construction which gave the Pyramid its name and the second reason that it has two entrances, The Red Pyramid is the first true and complete pyramid was built and it has the second largest base of all Egyptian pyramids. 

What makes it yet more interesting is that it can be fully accessed as you can enter one of the two Pyramids and explore it from inside to see the burial chamber 

Later you will go to the amazing site of the Ancient city of Memphis “Known by Mit Rahina nowadays” was one of the oldest and most important cities in ancient Egypt, located at the entrance to the Nile River Valley near the Giza plateau and founded in the 1st Dynasty by King Narmer “3100 B.C” It served as the capital of ancient Egypt and an important religious cult center for many years. 

Today you will explore the ruins of this city and Ptah temple and you will visit the Open Air Museum and see the Alabaster Sphinx amongst other artifacts exhibits the colossus of king Ramses II which carved in limestone 

After having a great time in  this interesting tour, you  will have your lunch meal at one of the famous local restaurants in Egypt

Afternoon, you will get back to your hotel to spend the rest of the day free at leisure

Day 5Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, Citadel Of Saladin and Alabaster Mosque Of Mohamed Ali, Coptic Cairo

Breakfast will be served to you at the hotel then you will enjoy the tour with your Egyptologist tour guide to one of the most important Museums in the world, the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. 

This Museum hosts a huge collection of Pharaonic antiquities, which includes the golden treasures of TutAnkhAmun’s tomb. truly No visit to Egypt is complete without a trip through its amazing galleries. 

The original collection was established in the late 19th century under Auguste Mariette and housed in Boulaq. The objects were moved in 1891 to the palace of Ismail Pasha in Giza before being transferred in 1902 to the current building at Tahrir Square, which is the first purpose-built museum edifice in the world. 

After your visit you will explore the city center of Cairo where you will have your Lunch at local restaurant 

Then you will continue the tour by visiting the Islamic Cairo, this includes, Citadel Of Salah El Dien which is a medieval Islamic fortification in Cairo and Alabaster Mosque Of Mohamed Ali which is consider the largest and unique mosque to be built in Cairo with Ottomon style

Day 6Islamic Cairo including Islamic Museum, Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, Refai Mosque, Ibn Tulun Mosque & Gayer Anderson Museum, El Moez Street & Khan El Khalili Market

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at your Hotel and get ready as our Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up  at 08.00am 

Today Enjoy your tour to visit Islamic Cairo including the visit to explore the Islamic Museum of Fine Arts which considered one of the greatest in the world, with its exceptional collection of rare woodwork and plaster artefacts, as well as metal, ceramic, glass, crystal, and textile objects of all periods, from all over the Islamic world. 

In recent years, the museum has displayed about 2,500 artefacts in 25 galleries, but it houses more than 102,000 objects, with the remainder in storage. The collection includes rare manuscripts of the Qur’an, with some calligraphy written in silver ink, on pages with elaborate borders then visit Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrassa which is a massive construction as this beautiful mosque is considered one of the largests museums all over the world and the one of the best examples of Architecture during the Islamic period and El Refai Mosque 

Then continue your tour to visit the Amazing Mosque of Ibn Tulun and The Kerrilea House with visit to Gayer Anderson Museum  

Later, you will Stop for Lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo

Day 7Travel to Alexandria, Catacomb,Pompey’s Pillar, Roman Amphitheatre, Library of Alexandria, Qaitbay Citadel

You will get your breakfast at the hotel in the morning before going on a road trip with A/C late model van to Alexandria, this trip can take about 2 to 3 hours only.

Alexandria is becoming more and more popular with tourists coming to Egypt. Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt, known as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean”, has an atmosphere that is more Mediterranean than Middle Eastern; It has a deep history that goes back to 332 BC as it was erected by Alexander the Great and it was considered the capital of Egypt during the Greek Roman time.

Begin your tour in Alexandria by visiting the Catacomb Necropolis related back to the Graeco Roman time then proceed to visit will be to the Roman Amphitheatre, discovered in 1960, the theatre which was established in the 4th century BC with its marble steps is one of its kind in Egypt, Visit Pompey’s Pillar 

Next, you will enjoy your visit to the Library of Alexandria, with the ancient library being established in the 3rd century BC and destroyed in the 1st century BC, the library we see today which is a huge wonderful architectural work, was opened in 2002.

Later on, you will proceed to have lunch in one of the best local restaurants in Alexandria.

After lunch, you will then visit Qaitbay Citadel, this citadel was established in the 16th century and became the landmark of Alexandria today.

Day 8Free day in Alexandria, Drive back to Cairo

Enjoy a refreshing breakfast with the sea view at your hotel and get ready to enjoy a free day to explore the whole city of Alexandria and enjoy the beauty of the medeternean sea.

Afternoon you will drive back to Cairo saying goodbye to this jewel city.

Day 9Cairo, El Fayoum

Get a fresh delicious breakfast at your hotel and be ready for today’s adventure. 

You will start the day with a road trip on a private air-conditioned vehicle towards the town of El Fayoum which is one of the most charming countryside towns in Egypt. 

El Fayoum city is famous for pottery and some remarkable ancient antiquities. 

Your visits in El Fayoum will begin with the Hawara Pyramid which was constructed by the well-known King Amenmhat III, in the 19th century BC as his royal tomb made out of limestone and mud bricks.

Afterwards, you will be having lunch on the shores of Lake Qarun, one of the deepest natural lakes in Egypt that is more than 3300 square meters. 

Your last visit of the day will be to one of the remarkable monuments there, the Pyramid of Meidum, constructed by King Senfru, the father of King Cheops and the constructor of the Pyramids of Giza, as his first attempt to build a proper pyramid in Egypt that was a failure due to the collapse of large stones from the pyramid.

After this amazing tour in El Fayoum, you will drive back to Cairo at a distance of around 102 KM that takes approximately 2 hours by car. 

Arrive in Cairo and proceed to your hotel there for check in, rest and refresh. 

Evening time is free at leisure on your own, so you can explore the capital of Egypt at night. You can walk around your hotel or go for a city tour with assistance of your representative

Day 10Travel to El Minya, Beni Hassan, Tell El Amarna

Check out the hotel after having your delicious breakfast. Our Egyptologist Tour Guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7.00 am. 

Today you will leave the capital of Egypt and start your journey to the South of Egypt, where the most unique collection of ancient monuments are waiting for your visit. you will drive by private air-conditioned vehicle towards the city of El Minya, nicknamed as the jewel of Upper Egypt due to the marvelous views of the River Nile and the diversity of monuments situated in that city.

The first visit of the day will be to the Tombs of Beni Hassan, an ancient necropolis that includes many rock-cut tombs that date to the first intermediate period and the Middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt. you will see the tombs, including the ones of Bakhet III, Khnumhotep, Khety and Amenemhat.

Then you will continue the tour by exploring Tell El Amarna, established by King Akhenaten at the end of the 13th century BC. The new capital was largely destroyed as the supporters of the cult of the god Amun never admitted that the worship of the new god, Aten, the god of the sun, is rightful. However, today the ruins of the city stretch over a surface area that is more than 12 kilometers 

You will see the remaining temple of Aten, Nefertiti’s Northern Palace, followed by the Tomb Of Akhenaten. Then you will see the northern tombs (among which Ahmose tomb, Huya tomb and Mery-Re I tomb) and the Southern Tombs (among which, tomb of Ay and tomb of Mahu).

Reach El Minya and proceed to your hotel for check in, rest and refresh.

At night, free at leisure on your own in order to explore the city of El Minya, Overnight in El Minya (Breakfast – Dinner)

Day 11Tuna El Gabal, El Ashmonien, Malawi Museum

Enjoy your energizing breakfast at the hotel before starting your full day tour at 07.00 am 

You will proceed to visit the impressive site of Tuna El Gabal, the famous Boundary Stelae of Akhenaten, that shows himself and his wife worshipping Aten, and a couple of interesting ancient tombs and explore the ruins of the ancient Hermopolis (including the tomb of Petosiris, Ibis catacombs, Isadora tomb.

Then your next visit of the day will be to the ancient city of El Ashmunein, that was an important center in ancient Egyptian times, during the Roman Period and the Christian era afterwards as well with many interesting remaining monuments. the ruins of the Christian basilica and the sandstone baboons of Amenhotep III).

Next, you will visit Mallawi Museum which is newly re-opened for visitors after restoration, The Amazing museum includes rare and beautiful pieces related back to the Pharaonic periods especially the Middle Kingdom 

After the tour, you will drive back to your hotel in El Menya after this amazing tour

Day 12Travel to Assuit, Meir Necropolis, Akhmim, Sohag Museum

You will start the day by checking out the hotel after having the most delicious breakfast. 

Early in the morning you will take our air-conditioned vehicle in order to discover another city during this long trip in Egypt. 

From El Minya you will drive towards the city of Assiut to visit the Meir Necropolis carved in the rock. Then After exploring these beautiful tombs and scenes in Meir, you will travel towards Sohag, one of the cities in the Nile Valley of Egypt situated 260 kilometers to the South of El Minya.

You will stop in the way to visit the Open Air Museum of Akhmim, to view the remains of the town that flourished there in ancient times displayed in an interesting open air museum with the statue of Meritamun, one of the favorite daughters of the famous king, Ramses II.

You will continue this road trip until you reach Sohag city, where you will visit Sohag National Museum. The museum displays a collection of 945 artefacts, most of them unearthed in different sites near Sohag and the rest having been carefully selected from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square in Cairo, the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo’s Bab Al-Khalq neighbourhood, the Textiles Museum in Al-Muizz Street in Historic Cairo and the Coptic Museum in Old Cairo.

Later, you will head to your hotel there for check in, rest and refresh. 

At night, you will be free at leisure on your own when you can explore the city or walk around your hotel.

Day 13Abydos temple of Seti I and Dendarah temple Of Hathor

Today, you will check out after having your breakfast, then you will accompany your tour guide on one of the very interesting tours in Egypt. 

You will drive towards the city of Luxor, ancient Thebes, the capital of Egypt for a very long period of time with a large number of matchless historical sites.

Your first stop of the day will be to explore the significant site of Abydos, one of the oldest towns of ancient Egypt that hosts a number of tombs, temples, and other ruins today explore the great temple of King Seti I in Abydos – (Please note that osirion is closed and it open only with special permission cost TBA) –

Next, you will discover the city of Denderah, where you will find the Temple of Dendera, one of the best preserved and marvelous examples of the Greco Roman architecture in Egypt. The temple dedicated to the goddess Hathour is quite remarkable. 

We will then complete driving towards Luxor to check in at your hotel there and spend a relaxing night in Luxor (Breakfast)

Day 14Free day in Luxor

Enjoy your breakfast at the Hotel and get ready for today’s optional tour in the Early morning. It’s a Hot Air Balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings and West Bank of Luxor, this ride can only be offered upon your request.

Today is yours to explore the amazing city of Luxor by night where you can walk around your hotel or go to the Tourist Market in Luxor in order to buy some local (hand-made) gifts to your family members, relatives and friends.

Day 15Temple of Madinet Habu, Deir El Madina tombs, Ramessum temple

Start the day with a delicious breakfast meal at your hotel before today’s tour in the West Bank of Luxor. 

Today’s tour is very attractive, as you are going to visit the most impressive temples in the city of the dead! The first visit will be to the Temple of Madinet Habu, perhaps the best preserved temple of ancient Egypt that was constructed by Ramses III. The relatively large complex has some wonderful decorations with some colors that remained intact until today. 

Then to the West Bank of Luxor where you will visit the Deir El Medina, or the village of the workers who constructed these marvelous monuments all over Luxor. Founded in the 16th century BC, the outline of the village can be explored until today. This is besides some interesting tombs to see the decorated and colorful beautiful scenes for the daily life of ancient Egyptians, You will see the most famous tombs like Sennedjem and tomb of Ramose or others.

You will finish this amazing day tour with Ramesseum, the mortuary temple of the great king, Ramses II, who built it in the 13th century. Today the temple is featured with some colossi of the king and many other notable sections. 

Evening time is yours to explore more places in the city like Markets and the beautiful streets along the Cornish and River Nile

Day 16Morning El Moalla, Tomb Of Ankhtifi, Tomb Of Sobek Hotep, Esna temple

Don’t miss your breakfast meal at your Hotel and get ready for today’s adventure at the site of El Moalla which is The provincial cemetery and located in the desert cliff of the River Nile’s East Bank, about 32km south of Luxor.

The site appears desolate and windswept, but two important tombs among many belonging to provincial governors and officials of the Old Kingdom to First Intermediate Period can be found here 

You will explore the tomb of Ankhtifi who held power in the region during Dynasty IX. Ankhtifi was the governor, or ‘nomarch’ of several districts between Edfu and Armant. His decorated tomb shows many interesting and important painted scenes which give us glimpses into the complicated political events in the obscure First Intermediate Period. 

Then you will move few metres to the north of Ankhtifi’s tomb is the smaller tomb-chapel of Sobekhotep, another First Intermediate Period official and this is the second decorated tomb at el-Moalla 

Later you will go to visit Esna temple which is dedicated to the ram-headed Khnum. Esna Temple would once have been built to a plan similar to the temples at Edfu and Dendera but all that now remains is the hypostyle hall which was built by the Roman Emperor Claudius who extended earlier buildings. 

The oldest part of the structure seen today is the west (back) wall which would have been the façade of the original temple, depicting reliefs of Ptolemy VI Philometer and Ptolemy VIII Neos Philopator.

After a long and interesting journey, you will drive back to your hotel in luxor to spend a free time in the evening and Overnight in Luxor (Breakfast)

Day 17Luxor Museum and Mummification Museum, Check in Nile Cruise, East Bank tour “Karnak and Luxor”

The breakfast will be served to you at your hotel then you will continue discovering  a city like Luxor with all its ancient history and diversity of monuments that surely hosts some fabulous museums. 

You will begin by exploring the Luxor Museum, situated near the Karnak Temple, this museum was established by the Egyptian government to host some of the findings unearthed in Luxor and around the city.

Next, you will pass by the Mummification Museum, a new museum dedicated to the illustration and the documentation of the mummification process in ancient Egypt including the tools, substances, mummies, coffins, and other interesting items from the mortuary scene in ancient Egypt 

After the tour, you will go on a private van to your Nile Cruise and Check in before Lunch as you will be having a great lunch time on board with the best Nile views.

Afternoon is devoted to discovering the richness of the Luxor River; the visit to the temple of Karnak, where each Pharaoh rendered homage by bringing a stone to build the temple. No other sacred edifice ever designed included as perfect illustrations as this temple: 

The temple of Amon Râ was an enormous permanent construction site for over 2,000 years. Then the visit of the temple of Luxor, one of the most majestic Pharaoh temples and one of the most picturesque because of it’s suspended mosaïcs 

Finally, free time in Luxor before dinner then you will get your first night on board your Cruise in the middle of the nile.

Day 18West Bank “Valley of the Kings & Queens, Hatshepsut temple “El Deir El Bahary”, Memnon, Esna - Edfu

Enjoy your delicious breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before exploring the West bank of Luxor.

Early in the morning, you’ll start your tour at the city of the dead where many marvelous mortuary temples and necropolises are located. 

The first visit of the day will be to the amazing Valley of the Kings, this site considered the richest ancient tombs in Egypt as it was the burial site for all the kings from the New Kingdom. 

You will have the chance to explore 3 tombs in this area like Ramses III and Thutmosis III also Ramses VI “Some tombs close for rotation maintenance without prior notice so you will replace the closed one with another opened one”

This amazing site also includes the famous marvelous tomb of Tutankhamen which was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 and this discovery was the most important archeological discovery in the 20th century. 

Next to the Valley of the Queens, you will have the chance to visit 3 Tombs in the valley including the beautiful and unique tomb of Queen Nefertari. 

Then to explore the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was built in the18th dynasty by the greatest Queen Hatshepsut. This temple was famous for its many terraces, having the statues of the Queen shaped with a beard, and of course its magnificent location carved out at one of the great mountains of ancient Thebes.

Your last visit to the West Bank will be to the Colossi of Memnon, where you will find two huge statues that will amaze you. These statues was constructed in 1350 BC and remained after the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III. Now it’s one of the main landmarks of Luxor city.

Then you will get back to your Nile Cruise for having the most delicious Egyptian Lunch on board with the Nile views. 

You will spend the night sailing towards Esna city which is about 60km south of Luxor

Day 19Edfu temple, Kom Ombo temple

Enjoy your breakfast on board then get ready to land at the location of the Temple of Horus in Edfu city. 

This amazing Temple is considered the most well preserved temple and the only one we know it has been completed built from Sandstone blocks related back to the Ptolemaic period in Egypt 

Then you will be back to the ship after the visit and Sail to Kom Ombo city while having your Lunch on board

Afternoon, you will visit the Kom Ombo temple established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era. This temple is dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek, and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. This was why the temple was divided into two sections; one for each god.

After exploring the temple you will get back to the Nile cruise where you will have your Dinner on board and enjoy the Galabeya party in the evening.

Day 20Abu Simble temples, Felucca around the Islands

Start the day with your breakfast meal on board then get ready to discover the Abu Simbel complex which is located to the south of Aswan, near Nubia. 

This amazing temple is one of the greatest achievements of ancient Egypt that was built by Ramses II. The complex of Abu Simbel consists of  two temples that were discovered in the 19th century; they were at one location until the High Dam started to be constructed so UNESCO began a project to rescue the temples by relocating them away from the water damage. 

After a memorable tour of the temple of Abu Simbel, you will get back to Aswan to enjoy your Lunch meal on board

In the afternoon, you will  enjoy a felucca ride around the Islands with a view to Elephantine Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum, there is also a great chance to explore the Botanical Garden. 

Now you will get back to your Nile Cruise to have your Dinner on board the Cruise and Overnight in Aswan (Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner)

Day 21Aswan visits High Dam, Philae temple Of Isis, Unfinished Obelisk, Nubian Village

Make sure to have your delicious breakfast on board then check out your Nile Cruise to continue your day at another destination. 

Start the tour at the High Dam which was an engineering miracle when it was built during the reign of the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 

Then to the beautiful temple of Philae which is dedicated to Goddesses Isis and Hathour, that is why it is considered one of the most famous temples in Egypt for centuries for its heritage. 

Later on, you will proceed to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which shows the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut obelisks. It was expected that if this obelisk had been completed, it would have been the heaviest obelisk ever cut in Ancient Egypt. Most probably this obelisk belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th dynasty and the royal wife of king Thutmosis II. This queen is the owner of Al Deir El-Bahari temple in the West bank of Luxor.

Afternoon you will be heading to your Hotel in Aswan to Check in and enjoy the rest of the day by visit the Nubian Village and explore the houses of the Nubians and their traditions and daily life 

Evening you can enjoy walking in Aswan famous Souk “Market” – Overnight in Aswan (Breakfast)

Day 22Free day in Aswan, Fly to Cairo

Start your day with the breakfast meat at your Hotel then have the rest of the day at leisure in Aswan. 

You can also go on an optional tour to visit Kalabsha temple and the Nubian Museum, this can only be offered upon your  request.  

After having a fantastic journey in upper Egypt, you will be heading to Aswan Airport for departure to Cairo.

Once you arrive in Cairo, you will check in your Hotel Le Meridien Cairo Airport, Overnight in Cairo (Breakfast)

Day 23Final departure
