Tour Details

GAT Tour’s will take you in an amazing tour to one of the best Temples of Egypt Philae Temple which located on Agelika Island and you can reach it by Motorboat, then the Unfinished Obelisk at the granite Quarries and finally The High Dam that built on 1960 to protect Egypt from the annual flood and to provide Egypt with the electricity.

A remarkable day tour in Aswan begins with a visit to the High Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960 to provide Egypt with water & electricity, and also to protect the country from annual floods from the Nile.

Later on, we will proceed to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which shows the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut obelisks. It was expected that if this obelisk had been completed, it would have been the heaviest obelisk ever cut in Ancient Egypt. Most probably this obelisk belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th dynasty and the royal wife of king Thutmosis II. This queen is the owner of Al Deir El-Bahari temple in the West bank of Luxor.

At the end of the tour, we’ll move on to visit the majestic Philae Temple, which was built on the honor of goddess Isis the chief deity of the island. It is considered to be the main Temple on the island, with its huge, complete pylons.

We will then transfer you back to your hotel in Aswan, where our tour to Philae Temple, High Dam, & unfinished Obelisk be ended.
