This special tour to Egypt includes all the highlights of Cairo, such as the great Pyramids of Giza, the ancient site of Saqqara, the ruins of Memphis, the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, the Saladin Citadel and Old Cairo Area with the unique collection of churches and Coptic monuments.

The guests will afterwards take the domestic flight to Aswan in order to check in their Nile Cruise ship, to enjoy a 03 nights cruise from Aswan to Luxor and explore the unique collection of our ancient Egyptian temples, tombs, and objects. This is besides having the chance to enjoy other activities such as riding a felucca in Aswan, attending the sound and light shows at Philae temple or flying over the west bank of Luxor by the hot air balloon.

The visits during the Nile Cruise journey would include the Karnak Temple, the Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon, the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu. In Aswan we will be visiting the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the amazing Temple of Philae.

The rest of our lovely tour to Egypt is completely different, as our esteemed guests will spend 03 nights relaxing on the sandy beaches of the Red Sea, while staying at their hotel in the coastal city of Hurghada with its exotic nightlife spots.

We almost reached the end of our tour to Egypt, as we are going to visit the city of Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean Sea and the second capital of Egypt. Alexandria is very famous with its wonderful beaches and treasures as well. In this trip to Egypt, we will visit the library of Alexandria, the Catacombs of Kom El Shuqafa, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Qaitbay Fort in a one-day trip to the jewel of the Mediterranean Sea.

Program Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to Cairo Int. Airport

Upon arrival to Cairo International Airport, you will be met with GAT Tours’ Representative, your best friend for the coming few days, who will help you in passing the passport control and collecting your luggage. Then, you will be transferred to the hotel in Cairo by private Air-conditioned vehicle with qualified driver. On arrival to your hotel, we will check in within few minutes! Evening time is yours to relax at the hotel before the first day of your wonderful tour to Egypt.

Day 02: Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, Saqqara Pyramids & Memphis

Energizing breakfast at your hotel. Later on, you will join our tour guide in such an amazing tour to Egypt with the Pyramids of Giza, the most popular monument in the world. Constructed around 2500 BC as the necropolis of the kings of the forth dynasty, there is the pyramid of Khufu or the Grand Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the smaller pyramid of Menkaure, and the marvelous sphinx constructed with a body of a lion and the head of a human to guard the pyramids from any threats.

Our next visit of the day will be to Saqqara, the royal burial site of the 3rd dynasty of the Old Kingdom in Egypt and one of the richest archeological places in Egypt with treasures being discovered until today. The highlight and the centerpiece of Saqqara is the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest surviving stone monument in the whole world and the first proper pyramid to ever be constructed in Egypt in the 27th century BC.

We will then proceed to visit Memphis, the first capital of unified Egypt. Established in 32nd century BC by King Narmer after he unified Upper and Lower Egypt. The city served as the seat of the government until the 22nd century. However, all the displayed exhibited in the open-air museum we will explore today belong to the New Kingdom with the highlights being the amazing Colossi of Ramses II, the alabaster sphinx, and many other statues and items.

After the tour, we will have a break for lunch. Later on, we will transfer you back to your hotel for rest and refresh. Evening time is free at leisure on your own, so you can relax at the hotel or you can go for an optional tour in Cairo to enjoy your night.

Day 03: Fly to Aswan, High Dam, Temple of Philae, Unfinished Obelisk

Today we are going to leave the hotel in Cairo and fly out to Aswan to complete our lovely tour to Egypt. You’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative, who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival to Aswan Airport, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative there, who will help and assist you in all formalities at the airport.

Another comfortable Air-conditioned vehicle will transfer you to the location of the Nile Cruise ship. We will check in within few minutes! Energizing lunch will be served on board before starting our tour in Aswan. After lunch, you’ll join your Egyptologist, tour guide to visit the High Dam, constructed in the 1960s by the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser. The dam helped Egypt to store the water from the Nile’s flood and it also generates a large volume of the electricity of Egypt.

We will then ride in a motorboat to reach Agilika Island, the new location of the marvelous Philae Temple, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the center of the worship of the goddess Isis. It is one of the most remarkable ancient Egyptian temples that were relocated after the construction of the High Dam and the water of the River Nile affected many historical monuments, the temple was transferred under a huge project funded by many nations and supervised by the UNESCO.

Our last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of the city of Aswan. If completed, the unfinished obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with. Dating back to the New Kingdom, it documents however the miraculous process of the construction of obelisks in ancient Egypt.

After this amazing day tour, we will transfer you back to your Nile cruiser for rest and refresh. Afternoon, free at leisure on board in order to relax by the pool on the sundeck and enjoy the incomparable view of the Nile River. Evening time is free at leisure in Aswan or there is a wonderful opportunity to go for an optional tour in Aswan to enjoy your night.

Day 04: Kom Ombo and Edfu temples

It is the second day of your Nile Cruise journey, as today we are going to continue our lovely tour to Egypt by visiting other sites, full of joy and entertainment! After breakfast, we will move to visit Temple of Kom Ombo, established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, the temple is dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. This was why the temple was divided into two sections; one for each god.

After that, you will get back to the ship, so we can enjoy the lunch on board while sailing to the city of Edfu. Enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Nile from the sundeck. Arrange yourself for the second visit of the day, whereas we will meet Temple of Horus in Edfu, the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. It was constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus. The temple is featured with its marvelous stone columns and fascinating wall carvings.

Evening time is free at leisure on board. Nightlife activities will be available on board like Classic Music or night party by the staff. Dinner meal will be served in the main restaurant, then overnight on board.

Day 05: West Bank of Luxor

Arrival to Luxor by the first hours of the day, where you can go for one of our highly recommended optional tours in Luxor, the Hot Air Balloon! Whereas you will fly over the city of Luxor, watching the unique collection of our temples and royal tombs. We consider this part is the most amazing one of our tour to Egypt, where we explore the unique collection of our rare monuments.

Our first visit of the day will be to the Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. The tombs are featured with marvelous wall painting which survived until today.

The next visit will be to the Temple of Deir Elbahari, which was constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. The Temple is featured with its many terraces, the statues of the Queen with a beard, and its magnificent location carved out of one of the great mountains of Thebes.

Our last visit at the West Bank will be to the Colossi of Memnon, these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards.

After the tour, we will get back to the Nile cruiser to have our delicious lunch meal on board. Enjoy your Afternoon tea on board while relaxing on the sundeck facing the amazing view of the Nile. At night, we will enjoy the funniest party on board “Galabeiya Party” or listen to international music.

Day 06: East Bank of Luxor - Drive to Hurghada

A new day in Luxor, where we can continue touring in this rich city. After breakfast, you will join our Egyptologist tour guide to visit Temple of Karnak, the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the world. Constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom specially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt. This temple is very attractive for the first time visitors who enjoy their tour to Egypt.

Our next visit of the day will be to the Temple of Luxor, another startling temple which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other Pharaohs. The temple is featured with its variety of design outlines and architecture. This is besides the huge two statues of Ramses II which ornaments the façade of the temple.

After finishing this amazing day tour, we will drive towards Hurghada, situated around 290 Kilometers to the North East of Luxor. Upon arrival to Hurghada, you’ll be transferred to your hotel there. We will check in within few minutes! Dinner meal will be served at your hotel and overnight in Hurghada.

Day 07: Day at leisure in Hurghada

We move with our tour to Egypt from the south of the country to the coast, where you can enjoy the remarkable landscape of the Red Sea. Breakfast meal will be served at your hotel. Later on, you have a free morning in Hurghada, you can stay at the hotel to use the beach, pool or even use the facilities of the hotel like GYM and SPA (available, but not included).

You can also go on an optional tour for a glass boat ride, where you can view the wonders of the red sea from a modern equipped glass boat for a ride that is always memorable.

At night, Hurghada has all what a tourist might think about including nightspots including restaurants, cafes, discoes, bars, shops, and various stores and different types of entertainment. The guests have the chance to go for a an optional BBQ Dinner with Bedouin party in the desert, where they can enjoy the delicious Bedouin BBQ in the marvelous desert mood and enjoy Bedouin music and dances.

Day 08: Day at leisure in Hurghada

Day 09: Fly to Cairo - Egyptian Museum - Citadel of Saladine - Coptic Cairo

Check out after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative in Hurghada, who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to Hurghada Airport to catch your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival to Cairo Airport, you will be met with GAT Tours’ Representative in Cairo, who will help and assist you in all formalities.

After that, you’ll join your expert tour guide to complete the Cairo’s program of your wonderful trip to Egypt. We start our amazing tour in Cairo by visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, the largest museum in the world with a huge collection of displays dating back to various periods of the ancient Egyptian history with the highlights being the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen, the mummies’ hall, large impressive reliefs, statues, and many other fascinating items.

Our next visit will be to the Citadel of Saladin, constructed in the 10th century by Saladin to protect Egypt and became the residence of the rulers of Egypt for a period that lasted more than seven centuries. The citadel itself is one of the most impressive medieval fortresses and it contains many remarkable monuments like the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Mosque of El Nasser Mohamed, and many interesting museums. This is besides offering the guests amazing panoramic views of the city of Cairo.

After lunch we will proceed to Old Cairo area, a part in the Egyptian capital that hosts some of the most interesting Coptic monuments in the country. We will start our Coptic tour by visiting the Hanging Church, first established in the 5th century and one of the most important historical churches in Egypt. Our next visit in Coptic Cairo will be to the Abu Serga Church, believed to be constructed where the holy family rested at the end of their journey, it was constructed in the 7th century. Our last visit in Coptic Cairo will be to the Church of Saint Mary, an orthodox church, built during the 5th century, restored and rebuilt many times afterwards.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo for rest and refresh. Evening time is yours to relax at the hotel or you can go for an optional tour in Cairo to enjoy your night.

Day 10: Alexandria City tour

It is time to complete your tour to Egypt by adding such a touch of joy and fun! Today we are going to complete the missing part of the tour by visiting the amazing city of Alexandria, the second capital of Egypt as believed. After breakfast, you’ll join your expert tour guide to drive towards Alexandria, distance takes around 03 hours by car. Maybe it is long time, but really the sites there deserves it.

Begin our tour in Alexandria by visiting the Library of Alexandria, with the ancient library being established in the 3rd century BC and destroyed in the 1st century BC, the library we see today which is a huge wonderful architectural work, was opened in 2002.

Our next visit will be to the Roman Amphitheater, discovered in 1960, the theater which was established in the 4th century BC with its marble steps is one of its kind in Egypt. We will then visit Qaitbay Citadel (from outside), this citadel was established in the 16th century and became the landmark of Alexandria today.

Later on, we will proceed to have lunch in one of the best local restaurants in Alexandria. After lunch, we will drive back to Cairo. Arrive to Cairo and proceed to your hotel for overnight.

Day 11: Cairo final departure

Check out after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with our Representative, who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your departure flight to your next destionation after your awesome tour to Egypt with Cairo, Alexandria, Nile Cruise and Hurghada.
