Program Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to Cairo International Airport

Upon arrival to Cairo International Airport, you will be met with GAT Tours’ Representative, your best friend for the coming few days, who will help you in passing the passport control and collecting your luggage. Then, you will be transferred to the hotel in Cairo by private Air-conditioned vehicle with qualified driver. On arrival to the hotel in Cairo, we will check in the hotel with in few minutes! You will then receive your room keys and proceed to your nice room to spend your first night in Cairo before the beginning of your awesome tour in Cairo, Nile Valley, Red Sea and Oasis.

Day 02: Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara and Memphis

Energizing breakfast at your hotel. Later on, you will be met with our Egyptologist tour guide who will join you in such awe-inspiring tour in Cairo to visit the Pyramids of Giza, constructed around 2500 BC as the necropolis of the kings of the forth dynasty, there is the pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chefren, and the smaller pyramid of Mycerinus, and the marvelous sphinx constructed with a body of a lion and the head of a human to guard the pyramids from any threats.

We will then leave the Pyramids area and proceed to visit Saqqara, the royal burial site of the 3rd dynasty of the Old Kingdom in Egypt and one of the richest archeological places in Egypt with treasures being discovered until today. The highlight and the centerpiece of Saqqara is the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest surviving stone monument in the whole world and the first proper pyramid to ever be constructed in Egypt in the 27th century BC.

Our last stop of the day will be to Memphis, the first capital of unified Egypt. Established in 32nd century BC by King Narmer after he unified Upper and Lower Egypt. The city served as the seat of the government until the 22nd century. However, all the displayed exhibited in the open-air museum we will explore today belong to the New Kingdom with the highlights being the amazing Colossi of Ramses II, the alabaster sphinx, and many other statues and items.

Later on, you will proceed to have the lunch meal at local restaurant. After lunch we will drive back to the hotel for rest and refresh. Evening time, free at leisure to relax at the hotel or to go for an optional tour in Cairo to enjoy your night.

Day 03: Flight to Aswan, Visit to Abu Simbel Temples & Aswan O.N.

Check out from the hotel in Cairo after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative, who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival to Aswan Airport, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ local Representative there, who will help and assist you in all formalities, taking your luggage, etc…

Another comfortable Air-conditioned vehicle will transfer you to the amazing city of Abu Simbel, located to the south of Aswan, near Nubia. Upon arrival, we will visit the Abu Simbel Temples, simply the greatest achievement of ancient Egypt. Constructed by Ramses II, the two temples are cut out of rocks and buried under the sand for centuries before being discovered in the 19th century. The temples were actually relocated after the building of the High Dam by a UNESCO project.

After a remarkable tour of the two temples of Abu Simbel, we will drive back to Aswan. Distance between the two cities takes around three hours by car. On arrival to Aswan, we will proceed to our hotel there, check in the hotel within few minutes! The rest of the day is free at leisure on your own, so you can relax at your hotel or you can go for an optional tour to enjoy your night.

Day 04: The High Dam, Temple of Philae & The Unfinished Obelisk

Another day in the south of Egypt exploring the amazing sites of the Nile Valley. We will leave the hotel after having our delicious breakfast and proceed to our 5* Nile Cruiser for a 03 nights cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Nile Cruise tour starts with lunch on board, later on, you’ll join our Egyptologist tour guide in a fantastic day tour in Aswan to explore the highlights of this magical city.

Our first visit of the day will be to the High Dam, constructed in the 1960s by the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser. The dam helped Egypt to store the water from the flood of the River Nile and it also generates a large volume of the electricity of Egypt. It is also considered to be a great architectural achievement.

We will then ride in a motorboat to reach Agilika Island, the new location of the marvelous Philae Temple, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the center of the worship of the goddess Isis. It is one of the most remarkable ancient Egyptian temples that were relocated after the construction of the High Dam as it was transferred under a huge project funded by many nations and supervised by the UNESCO.

Our last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of the city of Aswan. If completed, the unfinished obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with. Dating back to the New Kingdom, it documents however the miraculous process of the construction of obelisks in ancient Egypt.

After the tour, we will drive back to our Nile cruiser for rest and refresh. Afternoon, free at leisure on board in order to relax beside the pool on the sundeck and enjoy the incomparable view of the Nile River. Evening time is free at leisure to relax on board or to go for an optional tour to enjoy your night.

Day 05: Temple of Kom Ombo & Temple of Edfu

Energizing breakfast will be served on board before our full day tour. Our Nile Cruise ship will land at the location of the Temple of Kom Ombo, established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, the temple is dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. This was why the temple was divided into two sections; one for each god.

After visiting the amazing temple of Kom Ombo, you will get back to the ship, so we can enjoy the lunch on board while sailing to the city of Edfu. Enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Nile from the sundeck. Arrange yourself for the second visit of the day, whereas we will meet Temple of Horus in Edfu, the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. It was constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus. The temple is featured with its marvelous stone columns and fascinating wall carvings.

We will then get back to our Nile Cruiser for rest and refresh. Evening time is free at leisure on board to enjoy the Egyptian folklore show in the ship with a belly dancer and many other entertaining performances.

Day 06: Valley of Kings, Temple of Deir Elbahari & Colossi of Memnon

We arrive to Luxor by the early morning, when you can enjoy your day by having an optional tour to explore Luxor from the Sky!! Yes, Luxor offers you a Hot Air Balloon Riding for almost 45-minutes over the West Bank of the Nile, so you can see most of the funerary temples of Egypt. After breakfast, we will go for an extraordinary tour to the West Bank of Luxor, where many marvelous mortuary temples and necropolises are located. We start our tour with Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. This includes the marvelous tomb of Tutankhamen, discovered intact by Howard Carter in 1922 as the most important archeological discovery in the 20th century.

The next visit of the day will be to the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. The Temple is featured with its many terraces, the statues of the Queen with a beard, and its magnificent location carved out of one of the great mountains of Thebes.

Our last visit at the West Bank will be to the Colossi of Memnon, these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your Nile cruise for rest and refresh. Afternoon time is free at leisure on board to enjoy the incomparable view of the Nile River. Evening time is yours to have some rest on board or to go for an optional tour in Luxor to enjoy your night.

Day 07: East Bank of Luxor, Drive to Hurghada & O.N.

Enjoy your wonderful buffet breakfast on board before exploring the East Bank of Luxor. Our first visit of the day will be to Temple of Karnak, the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the world. Constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom specially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt.

Our next visit of the day will be to the Luxor Temple, another startling temple which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other Pharaohs. The temple is featured with its variety of design outlines and architecture. This is besides the huge two statues of Ramses II which ornaments the façade of the temple.

After the tour, we will drive by our private Air-conditioned vehicle towards the coastal city of Hurghada, situated around 300 kilometers to the North East of Luxor. On arrival to Hurghada, we will check in the hotel within few minutes! Get your room keys and proceed to your room for rest and refresh. The rest of the day is free at leisure on your own to explore this amazing city by night.

Day 08: Free at leisure in Hurghada & O.N.

No Wake Up calls anymore! Today is free at leisure on your own in Hurghada for swimming, snorkeling, diving, even chilling out at the wonderful beaches of the city, or doing some of the marvelous day activities. You can go on an optional tour for a glass boat ride, where you can view the wonders of the Red Sea from a modern equipped glass boat for a ride that is always memorable.

Hurghada by night is completely different! This wonderful city has all what a tourist might think about including nightspots including restaurants, cafes, discoes, bars, shops, and various stores and different types of entertainment. You have the chance to go for an optional BBQ Dinner with Bedouin party in the desert, where they can enjoy the delicious Bedouin BBQ in the marvelous desert mood and enjoy Bedouin music and dances.

Day 09: Free at leisure in Hurghada & O.N.

Energizing breakfast at your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure on your own in Hurghada swimming, snorkeling, diving, even chilling out at the wonderful beaches of the city, or you can go for an optional Sea Trip by Yacht to the Giftun Island, where you can enjoy the amazing view of the pure water or even do snorkeling in this wonderful area.

Hurghada by night is completely different! This wonderful city has all what a tourist might think about including nightspots including restaurants, cafes, discoes, bars, shops, and various stores and different types of entertainment. You have the chance to go for an optional BBQ Dinner with Bedouin party in the desert, where they can enjoy the delicious Bedouin BBQ in the marvelous desert mood and enjoy Bedouin music and dances.

Day 10: Flight to Cairo, Cairo City Tour & O.N.

Check out after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ local Representative in Hurghada, who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to Hurghada Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival to Cairo Airport, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative, who will help and assist you in all formalities.

We will then leave the airport and drive towards the city center of Cairo, where you’ll visit The Egyptian Museum, the largest museum in the world with a huge collection of displays dating back to various periods of the ancient Egyptian history with the highlights being the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen, the mummies’ hall, large impressive reliefs, statues, and many other fascinating items.

Our next visit will be to the Citadel, constructed in the 10th century by Saladin to protect Egypt and became the residence of the rulers of Egypt for a period that lasted more than seven centuries. The citadel itself is one of the most impressive medieval fortresses and it contains many remarkable monuments like the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Mosque of El Nasser Mohamed, and many interesting museums. This is besides offering the guests amazing panoramic views of the city of Cairo.

After lunch we will proceed to Old Cairo area, a part in the Egyptian capital that hosts some of the most interesting Coptic monuments in the country. We will start our Coptic tour by visiting The Hanging Church, first established in the 5th century and one of the most important historical churches in Egypt. Our next visit in Coptic Cairo will be to the Abu Serga Church, believed to be constructed where the holy family rested at the end of their journey, it was constructed in the 7th century. Our last visit in Coptic Cairo will be to the Church of Saint Mary, an orthodox church, built during the 5th century, restored and rebuilt many times afterwards.

After the tour, we will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo, check in the hotel within few minutes! You will take your room keys and proceed to your room for rest and refresh. Evening time is free at leisure to relax at the hotel or you can go for an optional tour in Cairo to enjoy your night.

Day 11: Bahariya Oasis from Cairo

Please pack up your luggage and be ready for this real adventure in the Egyptian Desert. Morning time, you’ll be met with our Safari Tour Guide, who will accompany you along the way to the Bahariya Oasis. After around three hours’ drive, we will reach the oasis. Our first visit of the day will be to the Museum and the tombs of the Golden mummies, discovered in 1996, this Greco Roman historical site displays mummies featured with their magnificent golden covers.

Our next visit of the day will be to the Temple of Alexander the Great, the only monument this Greek king ever constructed in Egypt. Excitement goes on when we visit the El Meftella temple, the center of the city in Pharaonic times. Lunch meal is included during the tour in a Camp or at local restaurant (if possible).

After lunch, we will visit the Black Desert, the result of a black volcanic mountain located nearby resulted in this amazing black stones. We will then visit the natural springs, we will be visiting one of the hot and one of the cold springs to experience both of them featured with their wonderful effects. Also we will see the Crystal Mountains, a collection of rocks that which shine like crystals in an amazing natural scene, the Valley of Agabat, a wonderful place in the Egyptian Western Desert featured with its various sand dunes. After the tour, we will camp in the desert so that the guests can experience the marvelous feeling of living in the desert. We have a delicious BBQ for dinner, then overnight under the stars.

Day 12: City Tour in Bahariya & Back to Cairo

We have our breakfast in the camp before we go on with our journey in the Western Desert of Egypt. We visit the White Desert, the most important highlight in the Egyptian oases featured with its bizarre looking rock. We will then drive with our car to visit the acacia tree and acacia tree and Ain khadra spring, a wonderful natural water spring which was used as old as the Roman period in Egypt. We go back to the Bahariya Oasis to have lunch in one of the recommended local restaurants.

After lunch, we will drive back to Cairo by our private Air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive to Cairo and proceed to our hotel there for check in and overnight.

Day 13: Check Out & Departure

Check out after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your departure flight carrying wonderful memories about your last trip to Cairo, Nile Valley, Red Sea and Oasis.
