Top-Notch Service – Really Outstanding!

I researched and contacted numerous tour companies in Egypt before settling on GAT Tours. Mr Ahmed Omar responded immediately to each and every question (and I had many over the 7 months of planning our trip), presented an itinerary which exactly met our needs, provided a price that was much less than other tour groups, and then delivered in a way that far exceeded our expectations.

With Ahmed meeting us at the airport, whisking us through security, tracking down our mis-placed baggage, and personally taking us to our hotel we knew we would be in good hands.

We did a 4 day/3 night Nile Cruise on the Amwaj Livingstone and had our own Egyptologist – Hassan Amin who made all the difference in the trip. There were plenty of other guides on our boat but it was clear the Hassan was a cut above the rest. He is a brilliant man and knows how to bring the temples to life. We usually had a few other tourists stop to listen in on his stories. He also helped with the notoriously difficult task of navigating the local vendors – letting us know what was good quality, what was a good deal, chose horse and buggy drivers that seemed to care about their animals.

We had just a few hours on our return to Cairo to see the pyramids and visit the museum but again, Ahmed worked hard to make sure we thoroughly enjoyed every minute – equipping us with a wonderful driver and another brilliant Egyptologist Manar whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of what she does was infectious.
