The first part of this wonderful Tour to Egypt includes spending three nights in Cairo to explore the most important attractions of the Egyptian capital including the Pyramids of Giza , Saqqara, The Egyptian Museum, The Saladin Citadel, and the Khan El Khalili touristic market.

Then second part consists of spending four nights in one of the luxurious Nile Cruises ships . We will be sailing from Luxor to Aswan in the style the ancient Egyptians once did but with all what modern technology and facilities have to offer.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival to Cairo Int. Airport

Your adventure in Egypt will start once you arrive at Cairo International Airport and meet GAT Tours’ representative who will be your best friend during your stay in Egypt.

He will be your main assistance with all you may need at the airport until he takes you with a private air-conditioned vehicle towards your chosen hotel in Cairo. Once you reach the hotel, you will check in and get directly to your room to get some rest after such a long flight and enjoy your accommodation in a new city.

Get well sleep at your hotel before the beginning of your awesome tour in Cairo tomorrow. (No Meals)

Day 2Pyramids Sakkara Memphis

Enjoy your breakfast in the morning before starting today’s adventure with our professional Egyptologist.

He will take you to one of the most important sites in Egypt that you better never miss, which is the great Pyramids of Giza site. Those were one of the old seven wonders of the world, which was built around 2500 BC as the royal tombs for the kings of the 4th dynasty. The kings who used to own these pyramids were king Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure. There is also a very interesting statue standing in front of the pyramids that was built in the shape of a human’s head and lion’s body to be a guard For the pyramids.

Let’s begin visiting the next site in Egypt which will be at Saqqara city. This city was known as the main burial site for the kings from the Old Kingdom in Egypt that’s why you will find there massive monuments from ancient Egypt. The main highlight of Saqqara monuments is the Step Pyramid of Djoser which is considered the oldest surviving stone in the whole world and also the first building in the shape of a Pyramid in the whole of Egypt even before the pyramids of Giza, it was built in the 27th century BC.

Last but not least, you will end the day with a quick visit to the wonderful city of Memphis. This city was considered the first Capital of unified Egypt since the 32nd century BC. King Narmer was able to unify Upper and lower Egypt to become one big country and Memphis to be their Capital city. You will find there an open-air museum full of many interesting monuments.

At the end of this interesting day, you will go to enjoy your lunch meal at one of the best Egyptian restaurants in town.

Then you will get back to your hotel to get some rest and be ready to enjoy the night on your own. We will also provide you with an optional tour at night to the sound & light show at Giza pyramids where you will be listening to the fascinating story of the ancient Egyptians from the sphinx himself.

Day 3Museum Citadel Old Cairo

Today you will start with a fresh breakfast meal at your hotel then join your expert tour guide in today’s tour in Cairo.

The tour will begin by exploring The famous Egyptian Museum. This is the largest museum in the whole world that hosts a huge collection of ancient monuments from Egyptian history. The main highlights of the Egyptian Museum are the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen, the mummies’ hall, lots of statues, and many other fascinating items.

Next, you will head to visit one of the masterpieces in Egypt, the Citadel of Saladin. This charming fortress was built in the 10th century to protect Egypt from any threats. Inside the citadel nowadays you will find a lot of impressive monuments like the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali, El Nasser Mohamed Mosque, and many other interesting museums from the history of Egypt.

Now, it’s the time for you to enjoy your lunch meal with the tasty Egyptian food.

After having your lunch meal, you will head to the Old Cairo area where you will be visiting some of the most interesting Coptic monuments in Egypt. You will start the Cptic tour with The Hanging Church which was built in the 5th century to be one of the most important historical churches in the whole of Egypt.
The next Church will be the Abu Serga Church which was built in the 7th century. This church was one of the places where the holy family rested during their Journey to Egypt.

Your last visit in the Coptic Cairo area will be to the Church of Saint Mary which was built in the 5th century and has been restored and rebuilt many times.

At the end of this amazing tour, you will get back to your hotel in Cairo to enjoy some free time and rest at your room.

Day 4East Bank of Luxor

You will be having a wonderful buffet breakfast at your hotel before meeting our English-speaking representative who will take you with a private A/C vehicle directly to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Luxor city in Upper Egypt.

Once you arrive at Luxor city, our local representative will be waiting for you to assist you with all the formalities at the airport. Then he will take you directly to your five-star Nile cruiser to check in and get some rest before enjoying your lunch meal on board.

Your journey in Luxor will start at the East Bank of Luxor by visiting the great Temple of Karnak. This charming building is considered the largest Pharaonic temple in the world which was built over a period of more than one thousand years. The Karnak temple hosts many items that date back to the new kingdom, especially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which were constructed by king Ramses II.

At the end of this amazing day, you will have a very interesting visit to the second charming temple in the city of Luxor which is the Luxor Temple. This temple was built around the 14th century BC, the construction process of this temple took many years and lots of pharaohs participated in this process like Ramses II and Queen Hatshepsut.

Once the tour ends, you will get back to your Nile cruise to enjoy some fresh air and relax.

Day 5West Bank of Luxor

You will be having a great morning in Luxor by joining us on our optional tour for a Hot-air Balloon adventure where you will enjoy exploring Luxor from the sky and get the best views ever.

The most delicious breakfast will be waiting for you on board to enjoy the oriental breakfast.

Now, you will start exploring the West bank of Luxor by visiting the city of the dead where you will find lots of marvelous ancient tombs. First, you will start with the famous royal burial site, the Valley of the Kings. You can find lots of fascinating ancient tombs for the kings from the New Kingdom. These tombs include the famous tomb of Tutankhamen which was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carteras.

The Temple of Deir El Bahari will be your next destination for today. IT was originally built by the beautiful queen Hatshepsut in the 18th dynasty. The Temple has many interesting features like having many terraces and statues for the Queen with a beard. This is beside the temple location as it was built in one of the greatest mountains in Thebes.

Now, it’s the time to explore the Colossi of Memnon which consists of two huge statues that were constructed in 1350 BC and became a charming landmark of Luxor now.

At the end of this amazing tour, you will get back to your Cruise where you will be enjoying your lunch meal. Then you will get the chance to enjoy your Afternoon tea relaxing on the sundeck with the charming views of the Nile.

Day 6Edfu and Kom Ombo

This morning you will be having an energizing breakfast on board before starting today’s tour.

You will continue sailing until you reach the location of Edfu city where you will be visiting the Horus Temple. This is one of the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temples in the whole of Egypt, it was built in the 3rd century BC during the Ptolemies era in order to worship the god Horus.

Then you will get back to your Cruise to enjoy your lunch meal while sailing towards the city of Kom Ombo.

Once you arrive at this city, you will visit the great Temple of Kom Ombo which was built in two different eras, the Ptolemaic and the Roman era. This is why the temple is dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris.

At the end of this amazing day, you will get back to your Nile cruise ship to get some rest.

Day 7High Dam,Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk

Good Morning, enjoy your breakfast meal for today on board with the charming views of the Nile, then get ready to start today’s trip.

You will start exploring the High Dam at the beginning of your trip in Aswan City. This amazing project was built in the 1960s by the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser. This is in order to store the Nile water caused from the flood and also to generate a large volume of the electricity for the whole of Egypt.

Through a motorboat ride you will be able to reach Agilika Island where you will find the marvelous temple of Philae. During the 3rd century BC, The Greco Roman was able to build such a great temple to worship the goddess Isis.
The last visit of today’s trip will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was a great building but it was unfinished and if it took the chance to get completed. It would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with. This is a great ending for today’s tour.

Let’s get back to your ship to enjoy your lunch meal before starting to enjoy the rest of the day on board with this charming atmosphere.

Day 8Lake Nasser Cruise

After having your breakfast meal, you will check out the Nile Cruise to join our English-speaking representative to Abu Simbel trip.

Your trip will start by checking in at your Lake Nasser Cruise to get some rest while having your lunch meal.

After enjoying your lunch time, you will go to explore the Abu Simbel Temples that consist of two temples built by king Ramses II. The biggest temple of those two was called the Great temple and it is dedicated to god Rahorakhty. But the smaller one was dedicated to the king and his beautiful wife, queen Nefertari.

At the end of this marvelous tour, you will return to your Lake Nasser cruise to get some relaxing time.

At night, your boat will land in front of these temples which will give you the chance to enjoy attending the Sound & Light show at this impressive temple. (Upon your request).

Then you will enjoy some Nubian shows and dance performances on board.

Day 9Kasr Ibrim, Amada & Wadi El-Seboua

The Breakfast meal will be served on board your Lake Nasser Cruise.

After that, you’ll join your expert tour guide in order to start your tours of the day by visiting Kasr Ibrim Temple, dating back to the Roman period, the ruins of Kasr Ibrim are among the most important Nubian monuments in Egypt. You will see this monument from the ship sundeck, as access to the monument is not permitted.

You will then continue sailing along the Nile to visit the Temple of Amada, constructed in the reign of Thutmosis III in the 15th century BC and now it is considered to be one of the most amazing Nubian temples in Egypt.

The next visit of the day will be to the Tomb of Penout, dating back to the 12th century BC, this rock cut tomb still retains some wonderful wall paintings. After that, you will get back to your Lake Nasser Cruise to have your lunch meal and take some rest.

At night, you are invited to a wonderful folkloric party, where you are encouraged to watch dancers and participate in the dancing of the traditional Egyptians folks.

Day 10Wadi-El-Seboua & Temple of Dakka

Enjoy your buffet breakfast on board and be ready for a day full of excitement.

Today, you are going to complete visiting the amazing sites of the South of Egypt. The first visit of the day will be to Wadi Seboua, this small temple constructed by the most famous king Ramses II for the worship of the god Amun, the chief god, and it contains some remarkable sections.

Your next step of the day will be to the Temple of Dakka, constructed in the 2nd and the 1st centuries BC and dedicated to the worship of Isis and then to the cult of Amun afterwards.

After the tour, you’ll get back to your Lake Nasser Cruise for rest and refresh and also to enjoy your lunch meal on board while sailing along the Nile to Aswan.

At night, free at leisure on board. A nice folkloric show will be operated on board by the staff, where you can dance and share dancing with your partner before leaving the cruise.

Day 11Kalabsha Temple, Beit-El-Wali & kiosk of Kertass

Your Breakfast meal will be served on board. After that, you’ll join your expert tour guide to explore the city of Aswan.

You will start today’s tour by visiting the Kalabsha Temple, constructed in the 1st century BC by the Roman Emperor, Augustus. The Temple was relocated in the 1970s to its location today after the construction of the High Dam.

Enjoy your tour by exploring Temple of Beit El Wali, constructed by Ramses II in Nubia where he showed his great military achievements on the walls of the temple which is considered the oldest temples of Ramses II in Nubia.

Then, you can proceed by visiting the kiosk of Kertassi, a charming kiosk dating back to the Roman period and featured with its remarkable Hathour columns.

After visiting your day tour, you’ll be transferred by private A/C vehicle to Aswan Int. airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Cairo.
