Day 1Arrival to Cairo Airport

Upon arrival to Cairo International Airport, you will be met with GAT Tours’ representative, your best friend for the coming few days, who will help you in passing the passport control and collecting your luggage. Then, you will be transferred to the hotel in Cairo by A/C Private late Model Vehicle with qualified driver. Arrival to your hotel in Cairo, we will check in the hotel within few minutes! Then you will proceed to your nice room for overnight. [No Meals]

Day 2Pyramids, Sakkara & Memphis

Energizing breakfast at the hotel. After that, you will join your English-speaking Egyptologist, who will join you in such awe-inspiring tour to visit the marvelous Pyramids of Giza, constructed around 2500 BC as the necropolis of the kings of the forth dynasty. Also we will see the marvelous sphinx constructed with a body of a lion and the head of a human to guard the pyramids from any threats. Our next visit will be to The Step Pyramid Complex in Sakkara, which is considered to be the oldest surviving stone monument in the whole world and the first proper pyramid to be constructed in ancient Egypt. Enjoy your lunch meal at local restaurant in Cairo. At the end of the tour, we will drive to the city of Memphis in order to visit The Open Air Museum, which was established in 32nd century BC by King Narmer after he unified Upper and Lower Egypt and became the first capital of the whole country. After finishing your day tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel for rest and refresh. Overnight in Cairo. [Breakfast & Lunch]

Day 3East Bank of Luxor

Breakfast and check out, transfer to Cairo airport by A/C Private Vehicle for your flight to Luxor, arrive to Luxor and meet with GAT Tours Representative who will transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to your Nile Cruise boat. We will check in within few minutes! Then we will start our tour in East Bank of Luxor with Temple of Karnak, constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom. We will then visit Luxor Temple, which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and others kings. Finally, you’ll get back to your boat for overnight. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 4West Bank of Luxor

Energizing breakfast will be served on board. After that, we will start our tour in the West bank of Luxor, the city of the dead, where we can visit Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. Our next visit of the day will be to Temple of Deir El Bahari, constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut. At the end of the tour we will visit Colossi of Memnon, these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards. After the tour, we will get back to the Nile Cruise for rest and refresh. Dinner meal will be served on board, then Overnight. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 5Edfu & Kom Ombo

Energizing breakfast will be served on board before our full day tour. Our Nile Cruise ship will land at the location of the city of Edfu, where we will visit the Temple of Horus, the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. It was constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus. After visiting the amazing temple of Edfu, you will get back to the ship, so we can enjoy the lunch on board while sailing to the city of Kom Ombo. Arrange yourself for the second visit of the day, whereas we will meet Temple of Kom Ombo, which was established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era and was dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. Finally, you will be transferred back to your Nile cruise ship for rest and refresh. Evening time, Egyptian folklore show before sleeping. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 6Abu Simbel

Breakfast meal will be served on board. After that you’ll be met with our local representative there, who will transfer you to transfer you to Abu Simbel by A/C Private Vehicle, located to the south of Aswan. Upon arrival, we will proceed to visit the Abu Simbel Temples, simply the greatest achievement of ancient Egypt. Constructed by Ramses II, the two temples are cut out of rocks and buried under the sand for centuries before being discovered in the 19th century. The temples were actually relocated after the building of the High Dam by a UNESCO project. After a memorable tour of the temple of Abu Simbel, we will drive back to our hotel in Aswan. We will check in the hotel within few minutes! The rest of the day is free at leisure on your own, so you can explore the city of Aswan by night, totally amazing! Finally, you’ll get back to Cruise. Dinner and overnight on board. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 7Dam, Phile & Obelisk

Breakfast meal will be served on board. Check out, after that you will prepare yourself to join your expert tour guide to explore the wonderful city of Aswan. Our first visit of the day will be to the High Dam, which was constructed by the former president, Gamal Abdel Nasser to store the water, then generate a large volume of the electricity. We will then ride in a motorboat to reach Agilika Island, to visit Temple of Philae, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the cult center of the goddess Isis. Our last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of Aswan. If completed, it would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with. After the day tour transfer to Aswan airport for your flight back to Cairo, arrive to Cairo airport and meet with our representative to transfer you to your Hotel, check in and overnight. Day 8Museum, Citadel & Coptic Cairo

Breakfast meal will be served at your hotel. After that, you’ll join your expert tour guide in such awe-inspiring tour in the city center of Cairo. We begin our visits of the day by exploring The Egyptian Museum, the largest museum in the world with a huge collection of displays dating back to various periods of the ancient Egyptian history including the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen. We will then visit the Citadel of Saladin, constructed in the 10th century by Saladin to protect Egypt and became the residence of the rulers of Egypt for a period that lasted more than seven centuries finally, we will proceed to visit Coptic Cairo Area, including The Hanging Church, the Abu Serga Church and the Church of Saint Mary. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for rest and refresh. At night, free at leisure on your own in Cairo. And overnight at your Hotel. [Breakfast & Lunch]

(Optional) Nile Cruise Dinner with a Tanoora show, a belly dancing performance, live music, and remarkable views of the River Nile. Finally, we will get back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 9Check Out & Departure

Check out after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with GAT Tours’ Representative who will transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your departure flight carrying wonderful memories about your last trip in the land of the Nile, Egypt.
