Enjoy your energizing breakfast first thing in the morning at your hotel then get ready for your first adventure in the magical land of Egypt.

Our Egyptologist tour guide will be your company for the first trip of the day which will be at the Pyramids of Giza. This fascinating site was constructed around 2500 BC to be the main royal tombs for the kings of the fourth dynasty. These three pyramids made for kings Cheops, Chefren, and Mycerinus the smaller one. This is beside the marvelous sphinx statue which was built in the shape of a human’s head and a lion’s body to protect the pyramids from any threats.

After such a glorious visit, you will head to another charming place which is Saqqara city. This city was considered the royal burial site of the 3rd dynasty that’s why it hosts lots of archeological places. The main highlight of this amazing city is the Step Pyramid of Djoser which is the oldest surviving stone monument in the whole world and also the first proper pyramid to ever be built in Egypt even before the famous 3 pyramids of Giza as it was built in the 27th century BC.

At the end of this day, you will be visiting Memphis city which was the first capital of unified Egypt. King Narmer was the founder of this city as he built it in the 32nd century BC to be the first Capital after he was able to unify Upper and Lower Egypt. The situation was stable in Memphis until the 22nd century, so it was the capital of Egypt for almost 10 centuries.

At night, you will spend your time at your hotel on your own to get some relaxation or to be able to tour Cairo city and enjoy this amazing place.

This morning, you will start the day with a delicious breakfast then you will get ready to check out your hotel in Cairo to continue the adventure in Egypt.

GAT Tours’ Representative will be there for you to take you with a private Air-conditioned vehicle towards Cairo Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Aswan, the city of gold.

Once you arrive at Aswan Airport, you’ll meet GAT Tours’ local Representative there to help you with all what you need until you reach your destination.

With a comfortable Air-conditioned vehicle you will head to visit the amazing city of Abu Simbel which is located to the south of Aswan. You will start discovering the Abu Simbel Temples which is the greatest achievement of ancient Egypt. It was built by Ramses II and it was discovered in the 19th century. After the building of the high dam, UNESCO decided to reallocate the temple to avoid the damage that happened because of the water flood.

After such a remarkable tour at the city Abu Simbel, you will get back to Aswan where you will stay at your beloved hotel. Start by checking in the hotel then get your new room to enjoy the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying your own time touring this beautiful city.

Another day in the south of Egypt exploring the amazing sites beside the Nile river.

You will leave the hotel after having the most delicious breakfast and proceed to your 5 stars Nile Cruiser for the coming 3 days cruising from Aswan to Luxor.
Your Cruise will begin the tour by having your lunch on board with the beautiful views of the Nile while sailing towards the High Dam. This amazing building was one of the greatest achievements of the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser in the 1960s. This project was a great help for the whole of Egypt in providing extra water and electricity.

Then you will take a motorboat to reach Agilika Island where you will be exploring the marvelous Philae Temple. This Temple was constructed during the Greco Roman era in the 3rd century BCto be the main temple to worship the goddess Isis. This temple was one of the important buildings that had to be relocated after the building of the high dam to rescue the history inside of it by UNESCO.

The last visit of the day will be very unique because you will be discovering the Unfinished Obelisk. If this Obelisk were completed, it would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with. This amazing Obelisk was constructed during the New Kingdom to be one of the ancient Egyptians architectural miracles today.

After this fruitful tour, you will get back to your Nile cruise where you will enjoy the rest of your day relaxing beside the pool on the sundeck with the incomparable views of the Nile River.

The most energizing breakfast will be waiting for you in the morning at your Nile Cruise.

While you’re enjoying your breakfast, the Cruise will sail until you ready the location of the Temple of Kom Ombo. The construction process of this temple started in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, that’s why this temple has two different sections each one dedicated to different gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris.

Now, you will get back to the ship to enjoy your lunch meal on board while sailing to the city of Edfu.

Once you reach the Temple of Horus in Edfu, you will start exploring the site closer where you will enjoy the glory of the ancient Egyptian. This temple was constructed in the 3rd century BC during the Ptolemies era in order to worship the god Horus. That’s why you will find there lots of marvelous stone columns and fascinating wall carvings.

Once the tour ends, you will return to your cruise where you will enjoy the rest of the day beside the pool to get some relaxation.

Tonight, there will be an amazing party with an Egyptian folklore show include a belly dancer and many other entertaining performances.

You will arrive at Luxor city in the early morning, when you can enjoy your day by having an optional tour to explore Luxor from the Sky!! Yes, Luxor offers you a Hot Air Balloon Riding for almost 45-minutes over the West Bank of the Nile, so you can see most of the funerary temples of Egypt.

After having your breakfast, you will go for an extraordinary tour to the West Bank of Luxor, where many marvelous mortuary temples and necropolises are located. The tour will begin at Valley of the King which is the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. It was the burial site for the kings from the New Kingdom, that’s why you will find there the marvelous tomb of Tutankhamen. This famous tomb was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter.

Next, you will head to discover the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by the beautiful Queen Hatshepsut. It’s one of the greatest temples in the city as it is featured with many terraces, lots of statues for the Queen with a beard, and a magnificent location carved out of one of the great mountains of Thebes.

Last but not least, you will start exploring the Colossi of Memnon which are two huge statues constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards.

Once the tour ends, you will get back to your Nile cruise for rest and refreshment. Afternoon time is free to spend on your own enjoying the incomparable view of the Nile River.

Evening time is yours to have some rest on board or to go for an optional tour in Luxor to enjoy your night.

Enjoy your wonderful buffet breakfast in the morning before starting to explore the East Bank of Luxor.

Your first visit of the day will be to the Temple of Karnak which is the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the world. This masterpiece was constructed over a period of more than one thousand years. The impressive items of the Karnak date back to the new kingdom, especially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt.

Don’t miss the second amazing temple in Luxor city which was named after the city itself, the Luxor Temple. The construction process of this startling temple had to involve many amazing pharaohs like Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many others. It was established around the 14th century BC.

After this amazing tour, you will drive with a private Air-conditioned vehicle towards the coastal city of Hurghada where the fun will begin.

Once you arrive in Hurghada, you will check in the hotel then get directly to your room to get some rest.

Today you are free at leisure on your own in Hurghada for swimming, snorkeling, diving, even chilling out at the wonderful beaches of the city, or doing some of the marvelous day activities.

You can go on an optional tour for a glass boat ride, where you can view the wonders of the Red Sea from a modern equipped glass boat for a ride that is always memorable.

Hurghada by night is completely different! This wonderful city has all that you might think about including night spots including restaurants, cafes, discoes, bars, shops, and various stores and different types of entertainment.

You have the chance to go for an optional BBQ Dinner with Bedouin party in the desert, where they can enjoy the delicious Bedouin BBQ in the marvelous desert mood and enjoy Bedouin music and dances.

Start the day with an energizing breakfast at your hotel.

The rest of your day you will spend it free on your own to enjoy all the hotel facilities like swimming, snorkeling, diving, even chilling out at the wonderful beaches of the city. There is also an optional Sea Trip by Yacht to the Giftun Island, where you can enjoy the amazing view of the pure water or even do snorkeling in this wonderful area.

You can also enjoy Hurghada street by night where everything is open ana available at a very late hour. You will find there restaurants, cafes, discoes, bars, shops, and various stores and different types of entertainment.

There is another optional tour for tonight which is an optional BBQ Dinner with Bedouin party in the middle of the desert. You will enjoy a delicious Bedouin BBQ dinner with the mood of Bedouin music and dances.

Today you will check out after having the breakfast meal to head directly to Hurghada Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Cairo.

You will meet GAT Tours’ Representative once you arrive at the airport in Cairo, he will transfer you to your next destination to the city center of Cairo.

You will be visiting the famous Egyptian Museum which is the largest museum in the whole world that contains a huge collection of ancient displays from various periods of times. The main highlights of this museum are the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen, the mummies’ hall, large impressive reliefs, statues, and many other fascinating items.

Next you will head to the Citadel which was constructed in the 10th century by the ruler of Egypt at that time, Saladin. He built this fortress to protect Egypt from any threats. Inside the citadel there is another world full of remarkable and impressive monuments like the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Mosque of El Nasser Mohamed, and many interesting museums.

Then you will get to enjoy your lunch meal at one of the best local restaurants in town.

Now, it’s the time to start exploring the Old Cairo area where you will find the most interesting Coptic monuments in the country.

The first monument will be The Hanging Church which was built in the 5th century, then to the Abu Serga Church which was built in the 7th century. This church was one of the destinations of the holy family during their journey in Egypt.

The last monument here will be the Church of Saint Mary which was built in the 5th century to be one of the most important orthodox churches in Egypt.

At the end of such a wonderful tour, you will get back to your chosen hotel in Cairo to check in and get some rest at your new room.

Please pack up your luggage and be ready for this real adventure in the Egyptian Desert.

Morning time, you’ll be met with our Safari Tour Guide, who will accompany you along the way to the Bahariya Oasis. After around three hours’ drive, you will reach the oasis.

The first visit of the day will be to the Museum and the tombs of the Golden mummies, discovered in 1996, this Greco Roman historical site displays mummies featured with their magnificent golden covers.

Then you will be visiting the Temple of Alexander the Great which is the only monument this Greek king ever constructed in Egypt. Excitement goes on when you will visit the El Meftella temple, the center of the city in Pharaonic times.

Lunch meal is included during the tour in a Camp or at a local restaurant (if possible).

After having your delicious lunch meal, you will visit the Black Desert, the result of a black volcanic mountain located nearby resulting in these amazing black stones.

You will then visit the natural springs where you will be visiting one of the hot and one of the cold springs to experience both of them featured with their wonderful effects.

Also You will see the Crystal Mountains, a collection of rocks that shine like crystals in an amazing natural scene, the Valley of Agabat, a wonderful place in the Egyptian Western Desert featured with its various sand dunes.

At the end of the tour, you will camp in the desert so that you can experience the marvelous feeling of living in the desert and enjoy a delicious BBQ for dinner.

You will have the best breakfast meal in the camp before you can go on with this amazing journey in the Western Desert of Egypt.

You will head to visit the White Desert which is the most important highlight in the Egyptian oases featured with its bizarre looking rock.

Then, you will start driving towards the acacia tree and acacia tree and Ain khadra spring, a wonderful natural water spring which was used as old as the Roman period in Egypt.

Let’s go back to the Bahariya Oasis now to have the best lunch meal in one of the recommended local restaurants.

Once you’re full, you can head back to Cairo by a private Air-conditioned vehicle.

You will arrive in Cairo at night to check in at your beloved hotel to spend a relaxing night.

Trip of a lifetime We just got back from a family "trip of a lifetime" to Egypt: 3 couples arrived in Cairo from different parts of US and Canada, at different flights and times, and yet the reception and arrival coordination and documents arrangement could not have been smoother. All was arranged, and the trip was custom designed by Ahmet from GAT Tours. We were a bit apprehensive considering the issues in the Middle East, but really there never has been a moment of concern and a complete feeling of safety as we were chauffeured, flown and sailed to the various destinations of this great country of Egypt. We visited the important sites around Cairo : the fantastic, new, Grand Egyptian Museum, the pyramids, the Sphinx, Civilization Museum, the market, Citadel, and other sites. Our hotel was first class. Our voyage down the Nile from Luxor was in upgraded suites (courtesy of GAT) on top of the line Sonesta Cruise line : gourmet meals in absolute comfort! We were lucky to have Asmaa in Cairo and Simon in Luxor and Aswan to guide us through the exhilarating sites of Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Kim Ombo, Edfu, Abu Simbel etc. in a very knowledgeable and entertaining fashion. Cairo and Nile Cruise This was an excellent tour! GAT Tours planned every detail and was very accommodating. We were initially going to cancel the tour considering the recent instability in the Gulf Region, however, the tour manager (Ahmed Omar) ensured our safety. We felt very safe in the hands of our tour guides (Asmaa - in Cairo and Simon in Luxor/Aswan). Both tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, personable, engaging, and advised us well on how to save time and money at the various sites and markets. Strongly recommend Asmaa and Simon as tour guides! Our travel/logistics person (Seif) was also great. He ensured our transportation, pick-ups, and meals were all on time. Everyone operating the tour was accessible and responsive via iPhone. The tour guides really showed us how rich their culture (ancient or modern) is. Highly recommend this tour: Six adults (incl. 2 seniors). My personal favorites: Valley of the Kings, GEM, and any of the evening tours of the temples!

Good experience overall It’s a mixed review of the tour and I will divide it into office staff and guide & drivers. Ahmed Omar in Cairo office helped us with our 5 days-Nile cruise and associated sightseeing. He was very prompt, polite and professional. As we didn’t get the morning flight on the day of our cruise, Ahmed helped us book a Luxor hotel for the night before. He also asked us for a personal favour and we obliged. Ahmed was thoughtful and offered to arrange ‘meet and greet’ at Cairo airport, in addition to the pick up on our return to Cairo after the cruise. Mr Mina met us at Cairo airport for helping with visa, Sim and money exchange. Despite Ahmed’s assurance that we would be helped with exchanging money, Mr Mina was walking out without doing that. When my wife pointed that out, he tried to blame us for not reminding him, which was not very nice! At Luxor airport, we were expecting My Ayman, but someone else came, which is fine. He was helpful and went to the hotel with us and next morning picked us up from hotel and dropped us at the cruise. We chose Sonesta star goddess for our trip and Ahmed had arranged everything. The guide Mohamed Refaat met us at 3pm. He said was a freelancer, and that he was given to us because he is a close friend of Mr Ayman. We found difficult to understand his English initially and his knowledge was just ok. He spent 20 minutes outside the Karnak temple talking about canals etc and as a result we had to rush at the end. He didn’t offer to take photos, but obliged whenever we asked. He repeated himself a lot and was not very interesting or engaging. We did think of calling the office to change him but didn’t. In Aswan, he said that we should pay for the felucca ride which was included. And then went on to say that we should pay the driver as he is not paid well and that we have to spend a lot during our Abu Simbel trip. On the final day, Mohamed went to our cruise reception and asked the person to give us an envelope and then turned around and told me to give them tips, before he leaves. That was very disrespectful behaviour and we were angry. Then we went to Abu Simbel and throughout the journey, he mostly chatted with the driver or slept. The driver, Kareem, was holding his phone with his left hand and talking while driving on the highway, which we found quite scary. Despite clearly telling Mohamed that we will not take out money using our card and that we will exchange money when we return to Aswan, after our trip finishes, he kept asking us to take money out throughout the day whenever he saw an ATM, very irritating behaviour. It left us with a bad taste. On the positive side, he was always on time, was friendly and did the basics. There were other little negative things like the car didn’t have water or tissue box, though it was sorted after informing Ahmed twice. It would have been good if someone from Gat tour contacted us directly to see if we were ok. We had to keep texting Ahmed for all minor issues, and he was always prompt. The representatives for Aswan airport and then again at Cairo airport were all on time and professional. So overall it was good. Gat tours is recommended but the guide Mohamed is definitely not.

The best! Highly recommended! 10 out of 10 The best. Seamless from start to finish. Nothing is too much. Excellent communications. We did the Renaissance 5 day river cruise from Luxor to Aswan. 4 of us. We had our own knowledgeable and very solicitous guide who accompanied us throughout the cruise. GAT also met us at the airport and in Luxor to take us to the boat and introduce us to our tour guide. Everything on time, with clear communication. GAT also booked us the Elite sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor. Their cost was was very reasonable and it was a fabulous experience: a wonderful, clean and well designed compartment with excellent service, they even provided slippers!
