Morning time, you’ll be met with our expert tour guide, who will accompany you in such awe-inspiring tour out of Aswan to explore the amazing sites between the two charming cities of Aswan and Luxor. Our first visit of the day will be to the Temple of Kom Ombo, standing on high grounds overlooking the Nile. The outstanding features of The Temple of Kom Ombo that makes it differs from all other temples is the unusual, even unique double entrance; each one is dedicated to divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. Quoting the ancient Egyptians beliefs, the Temple of Kom Ombo was built on the honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris or the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Also, Kom Ombo’s importance lies in its huge sugar-cane.
Our next visit of the day will be to the ancient city of Edfu, where you will be transferred by a horse carriage to visit the majestic temple dedicated to Horus which is considered by most to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt, which dates back to Ptolemaic times. According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth.
After finishing this amazing day, we will drive back towards Aswan – distance takes approximately three hours by car. Arrive to Aswan and proceed to your hotel, where our services will be ended.
