Overview

The new Sonesta Star Goddess Nile Cruise Ship sails on the Nile River for three, four and seven-night cruises between Aswan and Luxor. Sonesta Star Goddess Nile Cruise has 33 spacious suites, each with a private balcony and named after famous music composers, giving it a touch of elegance and sophistication. The ship comprises 27 deluxe Beethoven Suites (each 40m), 4 lush Mozart Suites (each 35m), and 2 superior Chopin Suites (each 52m). Each of the 33 suites has a private terrace and is designed to offer maximum comfort and space. All suites are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in open areas of the ship. The sun desk bar of Sonesta St. George Nile Cruise is overlooking a panoramic view of the Nile, the Sun Deck serves refreshing cocktails and beverages until sunset, as well as barbecue specialties. 04 Days / 03 Nights Program
Each Friday from Aswan

Day 1Nile Cruise, Aswan, Full Day High Dam, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk

In the Morning time, you will meet GAT Tours’ Representative, who will transfer you by private A-C vehicle to your Nile cruiser. 

Your adventure will start by visiting the High Dam, which was constructed by the president, Gamal Abdel Nasser to store the water of the Nile. 

Then you will go on a ride through a motorboat to visit the Temple of Philae, constructed during the Greco Roman times. 

The last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of Aswan. 

Now you will return to your boat to spend a relaxing night in the middle of the Nile. [Lunch & Dinner]

Day 2Nile Cruise, Kom Ombo Temple & Edfu Temple

Get an Energizing breakfast in the morning on the cruise and be ready for today’s tour. 

Your Nile Cruise ship will land at the location of the city of Kom Ombo, where you will visit the Temple of Sobek & Haroeris, which was established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, it was also dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. 

After that, you will get back to your beloved boat for rest and have a delicious lunch meal. 

Later on, you will visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu which is the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. 

Once the day ends, you will get back to your boat to spend the night. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 3Nile Cruise, Full Day West Bank

This Morning you will be free at leisure or you can have an optional adventure. This adventure will be by having a Hot-air Balloon flight over the West Bank of Luxor. 

After such a breathtaking experience you will get back to the boat and enjoy your delicious breakfast before exploring the city of the dead where we can visit Valley of the Kings, it’s the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. 

The next visit of the day will be to the Temple of Deir El Bahari, constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. 

Your last visit will be to the Colossi of Memnon; these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards. 

After that, you will get back to your beloved Cruise to spend a great night in the middle of the Nile. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 4Disembarkation, Full Day East Bank of Luxor

It’s the time to enjoy your last breakfast before checking out from the Nile Cruise. Later on, you will move to explore the east bank of Luxor including two marvelous temple complexes. 

As the first visit of the day you will pass by  the Karnak Temples Complex, constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom especially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt. 

You will then visit Luxor Temple, another startling temple which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other Pharaohs. 

After all these amazing visits, you will be transferred to your location in Luxor. [Breakfast]

05 Days / 04 Nights Program
Each Monday from Luxor

Day 1Embarkation, Full Day Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple

In the beginning of the day you will meet with GAT Tours’ Representative, who will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to your Nile Cruise boat. 

After lunch, you’ll join our expert tour guide to visit the Temple of Karnak, constructed over a period of more than one thousand years. 

You will then visit Luxor Temple, which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and other kings. 

After this amazing tour, you’ll be transferred to your Nile Cruise to spend the night in the middle of the Nile. [Lunch & Dinner]

Day 2Nile Cruise, Full Day West Bank of Luxor

Get an energizing breakfast on board.

Enjoy the most delicious breakfast in Egypt on board before your full day tour. 

Your Nile Cruise ship will land first at the location of the city of Edfu, where you will visit the Temple of Horus, constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus, the avenger of his father. 

After this marvelous visit, you will get back to your Nile Cruiser for lunch, rest and refresh. 

Then you will proceed to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era. 

Finally, you will be transferred back to your Nile cruise ship for rest and refresh. There will be great entertaining shows in the evening like Egyptian folklore shows operated by the staff. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 4Nile Cruise, Full Day High Dam, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk

The breakfast meal will be served to you on board. Then you will prepare yourself to join your expert tour guide to explore the wonderful city of Aswan. 

Your first visit of the day will be to the High Dam, which was constructed by the former president, Gamal Abdel Nasser to store the water, then generate a large volume of the electricity. 

You will then ride in a motorboat to visit the Temple of Philae, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the cult center of the goddess Isis. 

The last visit will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of Aswan. 

After the day tour, you will drive back to your Nile cruiser, so you can enjoy the tasty lunch and the entertaining shows in the evening including Nubian shows.

Day 5Disembarkation.

You will start the day with a delicious breakfast then you will Check out the Nile cruise. 

You will have an Optional tour to the Abu Simbel Temples which is simply the greatest achievement of ancient Egypt. It was Constructed by Ramses II, the two temples are cut out of rocks and buried under the sand for centuries before being discovered in the 19th century. 

The temples were actually relocated after the building of the High Dam by a UNESCO project. 

After such a great experience on board, you will head to Aswan Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Cairo, to continue your own adventure in Egypt [Breakfast]
