Itinerary

Day 1Arrival to Luxor & Tour to the East Bank (Complementry Dinner)

Morning time, arrival to Luxor Airport, where you will be met with GAT Tours’ Representative, your best friend for the coming few days, who will help and assist you in all formalities inside the airport. Then, he will transfer you by private Air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Luxor for check in, rest and refresh.
Afternoon, we will start our land tour in Luxor by exploring the East Bank of Luxor, where we can visit the Temple of Karnak, the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the world. Constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom specially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt.
We will then proceed to visit Luxor Temple, another startling temple which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other Pharaohs. The temple is featured with its variety of design outlines and architecture. This is besides the huge two statues of Ramses II which ornaments the façade of the temple.
After this amazing tour, we will transfer you to your hotel in Luxor for rest and refresh. Evening time is free at leisure on your own to relax at the hotel or you can go for an optional tour in Luxor to enjoy your night.

Day 2Tour to the West Bank (Breakfast & Lunch)

Enjoy your Open Buffet Breakfast at the hotel. Later on, you’ll join our expert, Egyptologist, tour guide in such awe-inspiring tour to the West Bank of Luxor, including the royal tombs of Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. This includes the marvelous tomb of Tutankhamen, discovered intact by Howard Carter in 1922 as the most important archeological discovery in the 20th century. The tombs are featured with marvelous wall painting which survived until today.
After that, we will proceed to visit Temple of Deir Elbahari, which was constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. The Temple is featured with its many terraces, the statues of the Queen with a beard, and its magnificent location carved out of one of the great mountains of Thebes.
Our last visit at the West Bank will be to the Colossi of Memnon, these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards.
Later on, we will have a short break for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we will continue our tour by visiting the Luxor Museum, which contains a modest collection of the highest quality artworks dating from the Pre-dynastic Period right through to the Islamic era. The modern building is extremely spacious with plenty of room to move around and view beautifully displayed objects and sculpture in peaceful low-lit surroundings. The perfect place to spend a hot morning in Luxor.
Finally, we will visit the Mummification Museum, a new museum dedicated to the illustration and the documentation of the mummification process in ancient Egypt including the tools, substances, mummies, coffins, and other interesting items from the mortuary scene in ancient Egypt. After this amazing day tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Luxor for rest and refresh. Evening time is yours to relax at the hotel or you can seize the time and go for an optional tour in Luxor to enjoy tour night.
Overnight in Luxor

Day 3Luxor City Tour (Breakfast & Lunch)

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. A city like Luxor with all its ancient history and diversity of monuments surly hosts some fabulous museums. We begin by exploring the Luxor Museum, situated near the Karnak Temple, this museum was established by the Egyptian government to host some of the findings unearthed in Luxor and around the city.
Our next visit of the day will be to the Mummification Museum, a new museum dedicated to the illustration and the documentation of the mummification process in ancient Egypt including the tools, substances, mummies, coffins, and other interesting items from the mortuary scene in ancient Egypt
After the tour, we will get back to our hotel in Luxor to spend our last night at hotel before embarking our Nile Cruise ship in the next day morning! Overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Departure from Luxor (Breakfast)

Here is the end of Luxor City Break tour. As after spending few days exploring the most important sites in both cities, you are going to leave with many good memories regarding all sites and attractions you visited in the last few four days. You will be transferred to Luxor Airport with assistance GAT Tours’ Representative in order to catch your flight to back home.
