Day 1 Arrival to Cairo Int. Airport

Your plan will land at the capital of Egypt, Cairo city where you will start your adventure in Egypt.

GAT Tours’ representative will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your beloved hotel in Cairo. He will help you with all that you need until you reach your hotel to check in and enter your room to get some rest after a long flight.

At night, you will enjoy some free time on your own in Cairo, the capital, clean, safe and modern city. (No Meals)

Day 2Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, Saqqara Pyramids & Memphis

Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel first then get ready for some great adventures by discovering the city of Cairo.

Our professional Egyptologist will take you on an amazing trip to the most popular monument in the world, The Great Pyramids of Giza. This charming site was built around the 2500 BC to be the royal site for the kings from the fourth dynasty. The kings of the 3 pyramids are king Cheops for the Grand Pyramid, king Khafre in the middle, Menkaure for the smaller pyramid. In front of the middle pyramid there is a marvelous statue for a lion’s body and human’s head which is called Sphinx, the main gerd of the pyramids.

Then you will head to visit one of the attractive cities in Egypt, Saqqaracity. This city was the royal burial site for the kings of the 3rd dynasty and one of the richest archeological places in the whole of Egypt. The masterpiece of this city is the Step Pyramid of Djoser which is the oldest monument in the whole world and the first pyramid that was properly constructed in Egypt. It was built in the 27th century BC to be a marvelous chance to understand the evolution of the pyramids’ constructions from ancient Egypt.

Last but not least, you will head to visit the oldest and first Capital of Egypt which is the city of Memphis. This marvelous city was built in the 32nd century BC after King Narmer was able to unify Upper and Lower Egypt and it continued to be the capital of Egypt until the 22nd century. Inside this city you will have the chance to discover lots of great monuments like the amazing Colossi of Ramses II, the alabaster sphinx, and many other statues and items.

Now, you will proceed to enjoy your lunch meal with a very deliciou food from the Egyptian cuisine at one of the best restaurants in town.

Let’s get back to the hotel after lunch to get some rest and enjoy the free time.

Your night in Egypt will be so special. Besides having it on your own, you can try our optional tour to the sound & light show at Giza pyramids. This amazing experience will let you know everything about ancient Egyptian history and the full story about the pyramids’ construction. All this from the startling sphinx himself with an entertaining blend of sounds and lights.

Finally, you will get back to the hotel to spend a relaxing sleepy night. (Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 3Fly to Aswan, Check in Nile Cruise, High Dam, Temple of Philae, Unfinished Obelisk

Enjoy your wonderful buffet breakfast at the hotel.

After that, you will be met with our English-speaking representative, who will transfer you by private A/C vehicle to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan International Airport, you’ll be met with our local representative there who will welcome you at the airport to help and assist you in all formalities.

Another comfortable air-conditioned vehicle will transfer you to the location of the Nile Cruise ship. Check in within a few minutes, then you will enjoy your lunch meal on board your Nile Cruise.

After lunch, you’ll visit the High Dam, constructed in the 1960s by the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser.The dam helped Egypt to store the water from the flood of the River Nile and it also generates a large volume of the electricity of Egypt. It is also considered to be a great architectural achievement.

You will then ride in a motorboat to reach Agilika Island, the new location of the marvelous Philae Temple, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the center of the worship of the goddess Isis. It is one of the most remarkable ancient Egyptian temples that were relocated after the construction of the High Dam and the water of the River Nile affected many historical monuments. The temple was transferred under a huge project funded by many nations and supervised by UNESCO.

Our last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of the city of Aswan. If completed, the unfinished obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with. Dating back to the New Kingdom, it documents however the miraculous process of the construction of obelisks in ancient Egypt.

After the day tour, you will drive back to our Nile cruiser for rest and refresh. Afternoon, free at leisure on board in order to relax beside the pool on the sundeck and enjoy the incomparable view of the River Nile.

Evening time is free at leisure in Aswan or there is a wonderful opportunity to go for an Optional tour to the sound and light show at Philae Temple, in order to know the full story of the goddess Isis and her husband Osiris in the most marvelous ambience. After that, you’ll get back to your Nile cruise ship for dinner and Overnight on board your Nile Cruise. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 4Kom Ombo and Edfu temples

Energizing breakfast will be served on board your Nile Cruise before our full day tour.

Our Nile Cruise ship will land at the location of the Temple of Kom Ombo, established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, the temple is dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. This was why the temple was divided into two sections; one for each god.

After visiting the amazing temple of Kom Ombo, you will get back to the ship, so you can enjoy the lunch on board while sailing to the city of Edfu. Enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Nile from the sundeck. Arrange yourself for the second visit of the day, whereas you will meet Temple of Horus in Edfu, the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. It was constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus. The temple is featured with its marvelous stone columns and fascinating wall carvings.

Evening time is free at leisure to enjoy the Egyptian folklore show in the Nile Cruise ship with many entertaining performances, or (Optional) You can attend the Sound & Light show at Temple of Edfu, a wonderful chance to know the story of the temple through a startling sound and lights show which is enjoyed by everybody.

Day 5West Bank of Luxor

Morning time is free at leisure or (Optional) you can enjoy a Hot-air Balloon adventure to explore Luxor from the sky, having amazing views of the city. It is as if you are a bird flying across the marvelous monuments of Luxor.

Enjoy your delicious breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before exploring the West bank of Luxor, the city of the dead where many marvelous mortuary temples and necropolises are located.

Our first visit of the day will be to the Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. This includes the marvelous tomb of Tutankhamen, discovered intact by Howard Carter in 1922 as the most important archeological discovery in the 20th century. The tombs are featured with marvelous wall paintings which survived until today.

The next visit will be to the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. The Temple is featured with its many terraces, the statues of the Queen with a beard, and its magnificent location carved out of one of the great mountains of Thebes.

Our last visit at the West Bank will be to the Colossi of Memnon, these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards.

After the tour, you will get back to the Nile cruise to have our delicious lunch meal on board. Enjoy your Afternoon tea on board while relaxing on the sundeck facing the amazing view of the Nile. Day 6East Bank of Luxor - Fly to Cairo

Enjoy your wonderful buffet breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before Check out, then start your day by exploring the east bank of Luxor.

Your first visit of the day will be to the Temple of Karnak, the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the world. Constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak you see today date back to the new kingdom, especially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which were constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt.

The next visit of the day will be to the Luxor Temple, another startling temple which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other Pharaohs. The temple is featured with its variety of design outlines and architecture. This is besides the huge two statues of Ramses II which ornament the façade of the temple.

The most comfortable vehicle will be awaiting you afterwards to transfer you to Luxor International Airport in order to catch your domestic flight back to Cairo.

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met with our English-speaking representative who will transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to your chosen hotel in Cairo for check in and overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 7Egyptian Museum, Coptc Cairo, Citadel Of Saladin & Alabaster Mosque

The best breakfast meal will be served to you at your hotel before starting another adventure in Cairo.

You will start the day by joining your expert tour guide in an amazing tour to the city center of Cairo. You will be exploring there, The Egyptian Museum which is the largest museum with a huge collection for the ancient Egyptians in the whole world. The museum hosts monuments from various periods of time for Egyptian history with great highlights that will blow your mind like, the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen, the mummies’ hall, large impressive reliefs, statues, and many other fascinating items.

Let’s have a great experience at the Citadel of Saladin where you find lots of attractive monuments to visit like the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Mosque of El Nasser Mohamed, and many interesting museums. The citadel was originally built in the 10th century by Sultan Salah Eldin in order to protect Egypt from the enemies at that time.

The lunch meal of today will be so special at one of the best local restaurants in Cairo to enjoy the taste of the Egyptian food.

Khan El Khalili market will be your next destination where you can do some shopping in a unique way. This place is the largest and most popular tourist market in the world which was established by the Mamluks in the 14th century. Now it’s a wonderful market full of gifts and souvenirs you can buy to be a great memory from Egypt.

After finishing your day tour, you will get back to your hotel to enjoy some relaxing time on your own.

There will be a great chance tonight to join us in our optional tour to enjoy Nile Cruise Dinner full of delicious Egyptian food. This is beside a Tanoura show, a belly dancing performance, and live music. What a wonderful night with food, entertainment shows and remarkable views of the river Nile.

Finally, You will get back to your hotel to spend your night. (Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 8Alexandria Overday

After breakfast, you will be met with our professional Egyptologist, who will join you in such an amazing tour in the second capital of Egypt or the “bride of the Mediterranean sea”, Alexandria. Distance between Cairo and Alexandria takes around three hours by car. Maybe it is a long time, but really the sites there deserve it.

Begin our tour in Alexandria by visiting the Library of Alexandria, with the ancient library being established in the 3rd century BC and destroyed in the 1st century BC, the library You can see today which is a huge wonderful architectural work, was opened in 2002.

Our next visit will be to the Roman Amphitheatre, discovered in 1960, the theatre which was established in the 4th century BC with its marble steps is one of its kind in Egypt.

You will then visit Qaitbay Citadel (from outside), this citadel was established in the 16th century and became the landmark of Alexandria today.

Later on, you will enjoy your lunch in one of the best local restaurants in Alexandria

After lunch, You will drive back to Cairo. Arrive in Cairo and proceed to your hotel to spend tonight. (Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 9Departure from Cairo Int. Airport

Check out after breakfast. Later on, you’ll be met with our English-speaking representative who will transfer you by private A/C vehicle to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your departure flight carrying wonderful memories about your last trip to this destination of the world, Egypt. (Breakfast)


Can I extend my stay at the Nile Cruise to be more than 03 Nights?

Yes, it’s possible and the maximum number of nights in this case will be 07 Nights, starts from Aswan to Luxor and returns back to Aswan. (A Round Trip)
*Although the possibility to make this extension in the total number of nights, we’re still subject to the ship schedule and category. So, if you would like to make this change, we will see the availability of the ship first and inform you with the new total cost.

I would like to book this package but, without all tours and visits during the Nile Cruise, can you exclude all these items and keep the accommodation on board only?

If I would like to confirm this package but, I need the meal plan during my stay at Cairo to be on (Half/Full Board) basis, can you make this change for me?

Yes, it’s possible to change the meal plan at Cairo hotels but, this will be with an extra charge.

Can I stay at one of Alexandria’s hotels for one night after finishing all its visits or I should return back to Cairo’s hotel to spend this night there?

Yes, you can stay this night at a hotel in Alexandria after making the check-out at Cairo’s hotel a day before and take a private vehicle with us from Alexandria’s hotel to Cairo’s airport directly

If I want to book … package with same items but, I would like to change the internal flights with a sleeper train, is it possible to make this change?
