Imagine visiting the pyramids they have always read about and exploring all the secrets of the Pharaohs along the way to Luxor. They will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities in the Pyramids like riding camels, horses or going inside the Solar Boat Museum, where they can find samples of the royal solar boats that they heard about while studying the ancient Egyptian history at school.

Cairo, Luxor and Red Sea including also visiting the great temples in Luxor and seeing the impressive Karnak Temples complex, which is considered to be one of the master pieces in Egypt and the world as well. Also they will have the chance to visit the Small Temple of Luxor, Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the the Colossi of Memnon – the only survive monument of the funerary temple of King Amenhotep III, from the New Kingdom.

In Hurghada the kids would love the beaches and the day activities offered at the hotel; like riding jet skis, pedals, submarine, glass boats to see the treasures of the Red Sea, going snorkeling to view the beauty of the underwater by themselves. Itinerary

Your trip will start once you arrive at Cairo International Airport as you will meet GAT Tours’ representative who will be you main assistant during your stay in Egypt.

He will then take you to your chosen hotel in Caito to check in and enjoy some relaxing and refreshing time at your new room.

Make sure to have a well sleepy night to get the energy for tomorrow’s journey. (No Meals)

Your morning will start with a delicious Egyptian breakfast at your hotel, then you will be ready for today’s trip to the amazing site of The Pyramids of Giza. This incredible place was considered one of the old seven wonders of the world that still exist until today. The pharaohs built these pyramids around 2500 BC as the royal tomb of the 4th dynasty kings. The 3 pyramids belong to king Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure, this is plus the marvelous sphinx which was constructed in a body of a lion and a head of a human to guard the pyramids.

Let’s continue the trip with a special visit to the Saqqara city which was the main burial site for the kings of the 3rd dynasty in Egypt. One of the most interesting highlights of this city is the Step Pyramid of Djoser. This pyramid is considered the oldest surviving stone monument in the whole world and the first proper pyramid to ever be constructed in Egypt as it was built in the 27th century BC.

The next step will be at Memphis city which is the first capital of unified Egypt. This marvelous city was established by king Narmer in the 32nd century BC after he was able to unify Upper and Lower Egypt. Memphis was the main capital of Egypt from the 32nd century and until the 22nd century. You will enjoy visiting there the amazing Colossi of Ramses II, the alabaster sphinx, and many other statues and items.

After such a long and fruitful day, it’s the time to enjoy your lunch meal at one of the best restaurants in town.
At the end of today, you will get back to your hotel to have some rest then you will get the chance to join our optional tour for today to the sound & light show at Giza pyramids. This show will be presented by the startling sphinx himself who will tell you the whole story and history behind the creation of the pyramids in an entertaining blend of sounds and lights.

Finally, you will get back to your hotel to spend the night. (Breakfast & Lunch)

Today you will start the trip by visiting The Egyptian Museum which is a great museum full of a huge collection of ancient monuments dating back to various periods of Egyptian history. You will not find these displays elsewhere in the whole world. The main highlights of the Egyptian museum are the golden exhibits of Tutankhamen, the mummies’ hall, large impressive reliefs, statues, and many other fascinating items.

Then you will head to visit the famous Citadel in Egypt which was constructed in the 10th century by Saladin in order to protect Egypt from any threats. Inside The citadel you will enjoy visiting lots of impressive monuments like the famous Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Mosque of El Nasser Mohamed, and many interesting museums.

Now you will get a break to enjoy an Egyptian lunch meal at one of the best restaurants in Cairo.

After this break, you will continue the journey at the Old Cairo area where you will be visiting the most interesting Coptic monuments in the country. You will start with The Hanging Church which was established in the 5th century, then the Abu Serga Church that was constructed in the 7th century. The last visit here will be to the Church of Saint Mary that was built during the 5th century.

At the end of this marvelous tour, you will get back to your hotel for some rest, then you will have the chance to try our optional tour for today to a Nile Cruise Dinner. This dinner will contain a delicious open buffet, a Tanoura show, a belly dancing performance, live music, and remarkable views of the river Nile.

Finally, it’s the time to enjoy a sleepy night at your hotel. [Breakfast & Lunch]

Our English-speaking representative will take you with a private A/C vehicle to Cairo International Airport in order to catch your domestic flight to Luxor city.

Once you arrive in Luxor city, you will meet our local representative there who will assist you and take you to your new accomodation for the next few days.

You will reach your hotel to check in and get some rest and refreshment then you will be ready to join our Expert tour guide on the first trip in Luxor.

The first destination here will be at the Temple of Karnak which is the largest Pharaonic temple complex in the whole world. This temple hosts lots of impressive items that date back to the new kingdom like the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which were constructed by Ramses II.

The next visit of today will be very special as you will be discovering the Luxor Temple, This temple is the second most important temple in the city after Karnak temple, it was built around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards so lots of pharaohs participated in this process like Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many others. The temple has a variety of design outlines and architecture, you will enjoy exploring each detail of this temple.

After this marvelous tour, you will get back to your hotel for rest & refresh. You will be having lots of options to spend the rest of your day, one of these options is to join us in the sound & light show at the Karnak Temple. This show will let you enjoy knowing all the stories behind the construction of many sections of the temple and many facts about the different Pharaohs and kings of ancient Egypt.

Now, you will get back to your hotel to spend a great night. [Breakfast]

This morning, you will have some free time to spend it on your own or you can choose to join us on a new adventure (optional). It will be a Hot-air Balloon adventure that will make you enjoy flying over Luxor city to enjoy wonderful views like birds.

Then you will get back to your hotel to enjoy your delicious breakfast before continuing your discoveries for today. Your trip will start at the West bank of Luxor which used to be called the city of the dead. This city hosts many fascinating mortuary temples and necropolises, your first visit will be at the Valley of the Kings. This site is rich with many ancient Egyptian tombs from the New Kingdom that will blow your mind, like the marvelous tomb of Tutankhamen. This tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

Next, you will have the time to visit the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was built in the 18th dynasty by the beautiful Queen Hatshepsut. This Temple has many unique features like many terraces and lots of statues for the Queen with a beard. The location of this temple at one of the great mountains of Thebes also makes it so special.

Your last visit of the day will be at the Colossi of Memnon which consists of two huge statues that were remains from the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III. This site was built in 1350 BC and now it has become a famous landmark in Luxor.

After such an interesting tour, you will have the chance to get back to your hotel in Luxor to spend the night. [Breakfast]

Today you will enjoy your breakfast meal at your hotel before checking out to head for another destination. Our local representative will take you with a private air-conditioned vehicle towards Hurghada city where the fun will begin.

The trip to Hurghada will only take approximately three hours by car. Once you arrive in the city you check in to your chosen hotel there for rest and refreshment.

During the afternoon, you will have some free time to spend it on your own in Hurghada to explore the wonders of the city.

Don’t miss to pass by the downtown of Hurghada as it has the largest number of night spots that you will definitely love.

The dinner meal for today will be special as you will have it at your new hotel in Hurghada.

Finally, it’s now the time to get some sleep at your nice room in the heart of the Red Sea! [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Start the day with a refreshing breakfast then get out of your room to enjoy your stay in this amazing hotel where you can use the beach, pool or even the other facilities like GYM and SPA (available, but not included).

But if you want a prepared trip, we can offer you an optional tour that will be through a glass boat. You will enjoy a ride in the sea to discover the wonders of the red sea from a modern equipped glass boat to have an unforgettable experience.

Tonight you will have very special moments at the night spots of Hurghada like restaurants, cafes, discoes, bars, shops, and various stores. You will get the chance to like nightlife that you can’t find elsewhere in the world.

There will be another optional trip to be offered for you at the end of the day. This trip is a BBQ Dinner with Bedouin party in the middle of the Egyptian desert, this party will have delicious Bedouin BBQ food and some Bedouin music and dances.

Your buffet breakfast will be served at your hotel in the morning before you can start your day.

You will have some free time to blease yourself inside such a wonderful hotel with a swa view. You can enjoy swimming or diving in the sea or even enjoy the pool and all the hotel facilities.

Or you can make your choice and join us in one of our optional tours for today. This tour will be a Desert Safari Tour where you can enjoy the amazing Egyptian desert with your partners and get your dinner under the stars, if you wish. Don’t miss this new adventure.

Enjoy your night touring Hurghada city and visit all it’s interesting nightspots or join us to an optional BBQ Dinner in the Bedouin style. You will enjoy some delicious Bedouin BBQ with cheerful Bedouin music and dances.

This is your last morning at the land of Egypt, so make sure to enjoy your last Egyptian breakfast before checking out your hotel.

Then our English-speaking representative will transfer you through a private A/C vehicle towards Hurghada International Airport in order to catch your domestic flight back to Cairo, where you will be able to catch your departure flight from Egypt. Trip of a lifetime We just got back from a family "trip of a lifetime" to Egypt: 3 couples arrived in Cairo from different parts of US and Canada, at different flights and times, and yet the reception and arrival coordination and documents arrangement could not have been smoother. All was arranged, and the trip was custom designed by Ahmet from GAT Tours. We were a bit apprehensive considering the issues in the Middle East, but really there never has been a moment of concern and a complete feeling of safety as we were chauffeured, flown and sailed to the various destinations of this great country of Egypt. We visited the important sites around Cairo : the fantastic, new, Grand Egyptian Museum, the pyramids, the Sphinx, Civilization Museum, the market, Citadel, and other sites. Our hotel was first class. Our voyage down the Nile from Luxor was in upgraded suites (courtesy of GAT) on top of the line Sonesta Cruise line : gourmet meals in absolute comfort! We were lucky to have Asmaa in Cairo and Simon in Luxor and Aswan to guide us through the exhilarating sites of Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Kim Ombo, Edfu, Abu Simbel etc. in a very knowledgeable and entertaining fashion. Cairo and Nile Cruise This was an excellent tour! GAT Tours planned every detail and was very accommodating. We were initially going to cancel the tour considering the recent instability in the Gulf Region, however, the tour manager (Ahmed Omar) ensured our safety. We felt very safe in the hands of our tour guides (Asmaa - in Cairo and Simon in Luxor/Aswan). Both tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, personable, engaging, and advised us well on how to save time and money at the various sites and markets. Strongly recommend Asmaa and Simon as tour guides! Our travel/logistics person (Seif) was also great. He ensured our transportation, pick-ups, and meals were all on time. Everyone operating the tour was accessible and responsive via iPhone. The tour guides really showed us how rich their culture (ancient or modern) is. Highly recommend this tour: Six adults (incl. 2 seniors). My personal favorites: Valley of the Kings, GEM, and any of the evening tours of the temples!

Good experience overall It’s a mixed review of the tour and I will divide it into office staff and guide & drivers. Ahmed Omar in Cairo office helped us with our 5 days-Nile cruise and associated sightseeing. He was very prompt, polite and professional. As we didn’t get the morning flight on the day of our cruise, Ahmed helped us book a Luxor hotel for the night before. He also asked us for a personal favour and we obliged. Ahmed was thoughtful and offered to arrange ‘meet and greet’ at Cairo airport, in addition to the pick up on our return to Cairo after the cruise. Mr Mina met us at Cairo airport for helping with visa, Sim and money exchange. Despite Ahmed’s assurance that we would be helped with exchanging money, Mr Mina was walking out without doing that. When my wife pointed that out, he tried to blame us for not reminding him, which was not very nice! At Luxor airport, we were expecting My Ayman, but someone else came, which is fine. He was helpful and went to the hotel with us and next morning picked us up from hotel and dropped us at the cruise. We chose Sonesta star goddess for our trip and Ahmed had arranged everything. The guide Mohamed Refaat met us at 3pm. He said was a freelancer, and that he was given to us because he is a close friend of Mr Ayman. We found difficult to understand his English initially and his knowledge was just ok. He spent 20 minutes outside the Karnak temple talking about canals etc and as a result we had to rush at the end. He didn’t offer to take photos, but obliged whenever we asked. He repeated himself a lot and was not very interesting or engaging. We did think of calling the office to change him but didn’t. In Aswan, he said that we should pay for the felucca ride which was included. And then went on to say that we should pay the driver as he is not paid well and that we have to spend a lot during our Abu Simbel trip. On the final day, Mohamed went to our cruise reception and asked the person to give us an envelope and then turned around and told me to give them tips, before he leaves. That was very disrespectful behaviour and we were angry. Then we went to Abu Simbel and throughout the journey, he mostly chatted with the driver or slept. The driver, Kareem, was holding his phone with his left hand and talking while driving on the highway, which we found quite scary. Despite clearly telling Mohamed that we will not take out money using our card and that we will exchange money when we return to Aswan, after our trip finishes, he kept asking us to take money out throughout the day whenever he saw an ATM, very irritating behaviour. It left us with a bad taste. On the positive side, he was always on time, was friendly and did the basics. There were other little negative things like the car didn’t have water or tissue box, though it was sorted after informing Ahmed twice. It would have been good if someone from Gat tour contacted us directly to see if we were ok. We had to keep texting Ahmed for all minor issues, and he was always prompt. The representatives for Aswan airport and then again at Cairo airport were all on time and professional. So overall it was good. Gat tours is recommended but the guide Mohamed is definitely not.

The best! Highly recommended! 10 out of 10 The best. Seamless from start to finish. Nothing is too much. Excellent communications. We did the Renaissance 5 day river cruise from Luxor to Aswan. 4 of us. We had our own knowledgeable and very solicitous guide who accompanied us throughout the cruise. GAT also met us at the airport and in Luxor to take us to the boat and introduce us to our tour guide. Everything on time, with clear communication. GAT also booked us the Elite sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor. Their cost was was very reasonable and it was a fabulous experience: a wonderful, clean and well designed compartment with excellent service, they even provided slippers! Mr Omar, one of the managers, based in Cairo, was superb in choreographing our entire trip. Thank you GAT
